I posted an unusual write-up today on another forum because I read where someone was asking for insight on the Hawks game and I live in Atlanta. The game is almost over now but figured I'd share anyways
It's a good short read IMO and its interesting how this matchup unfolded identical to the write ups expected outcome.
Here's some insight. I live in Atlanta. I'm a die hard anything ATL fan. Falcons, Georgia Tech, Braves, Hawks, Thrashers in that order. Vince Carter is 41 years old and hit 360 DUNK during pregame warmups before the Hawks beat the heat. The previous night before they beat the Heat, they beat the Hornets in Atlanta.(Hornets were fav by -6). Before they beat the Hornets and Heat on a B2B they LOST 10 STRAIGHT and accumulated a 4-14 record to be tied for last place with the Cleveland Cavaliers! Now you may be asking yourself why I told you all this. Well, what's interesting about this is the fact that the Hawks started that 10 game losing streak to yours truly, THE HORNETS!! In a game played in CHARLOTTE where the Hornets were favored by -11.5 and they won that game by 11 points failing to cover by a .5(always buy the hook!!) So what do we have? A Hawks team that is 5-16 A Hornets team that is 10-10 that have split the sheets this season with a win each, both on thier home courts and the Hawks covering ATS in each game. The Hawks have won two straight against solid opponents, now they go on the road to play a Hornets team they started a 10 game losing streak to and broke a 10 game losing streak to. What does vegas do? They give the Hawks .5 more of a point and the public at the moment is all over the Hawks. Not so fast my friend(Lee Corso) the Hawks begin another 10 game losing streak and it starts tonight against the Hornets once again. Will they cover, you may ask? No one knows for sure but I'd say the Hornets handle business tonight on their home court after getting embarrassed on the road. Give me the Hornets-12!
