Falling knife here on Thursday night. Can we catch it or will we get a bloodied hand?

Can't do it. That knife's blade is shining sharp. Aints are playing their best ball right now - on both sides of the ball. Dallas is too. But at a lower level.

Unless dem Cowboys get Drew Brees to do something he's only done twice all year, turn the ball over I don't see how the Boys don't look like the clowns at the rodeo standing next to Clint Eastwood. Brees is playing games while everyone else is working to exhaustion. Last week he threw TDs to Lewis, Carr, Arnold, and Kirkwood. Who? That's what I mean. And in case you haven't noticed this is now a running team, leading the NFL with 19 rushing TDs. The Aints are just playing around. 7' should be a breeze for Brees and them All God team Saints.

What a clunk job by New Orleans. Maybe I need to start giving the Cowboys their due. Great game Jerry Bones.

On to Sunday:

Detroit +10 -105 (vs LAR)
The Lion Pussycats have beaten New England, Green Bay, and Carolina at home. I think they can hang with the Mighty Rams who may be peeking ahead to their clash with the Big Bad Bears. When a team (Rams) is off their bye as a 10 or 10' point road fav they are 2-8 ATS (thanks OMAR.)

Tampa Bay +3' -105 (vs Car)
Despite losing three fumbles to none for Carolina on Week 16 of last year Tampa hung with the Panthers, losing 19-22, because Winston threw zero picks. When he regained the starting job last week Winston threw zero picks as they clobbered San Fran at home 27-9. Protect the ball, Jameis, and you can beat your Division rival. Don't and your career is just about over in Tampa Bay.

Denver -4 -108 (@ Cincy)
In their last 6 games Denver lost to the Rams, Kansas City, and Houston by a combined 12 points. They also beat Arizona, the Chargers, and Pitt. They pounded the only lightweight in that group, the Cardinals in Arizona, 45-10. Now they get Cincy who couldn't stop a 90 year old granny from robbing a bank with her nail file.

Atlanta -2' -110 (vs Balty)
Since Lamar Jackson took over the Baltys have beaten Cincy, and Oakland, both at home. Now they go on the road to face a real team desperate for a win.

More coming.

NY Giants +4 -105 (vs Bears)
Chase Daniels looked like an All Pro in his start at Detroit. I'm not buying it. We're catching them in a lookahead to the mighty Rams here.

Indy -4 -107 (@ Jax)
Cody Kessler is not Jacksonville's Messiah. He is 0-5 in NFL starts. The Jaguars are a team imploding. Indy is a team rising. They got killed by these Jags by 27 and 20 points last year, including being shutout 27-0. Division revenge is gonna taste like a bomb pop after a 10 mile run in summer heat.

Add late afternoon:

Kansas City -14 -101 (@ Oak)
See the quick query thread.

Tenny -9' (vs NYJ)
Jets have lost 5 straight. Have scored an average of 11' points in Josh McCown's two games. Those games were at home vs Buff and the Pats. Now they go to Tennessee to take on the boys who made Jack Daniels famous who have lost two straight of their own. My money's on Vrabel to bust those whiskey bottles and get his boys sober for this one.

Monday:

Philly -5' -106 (vs Wash)
OK Philly sucks. At 5-6 they aren't going anywhere. But They did win last year's Big Game. This is a redemption game. For pride only. Colt McCoy is just the guy to get them right. McCoy has 29 career TDs and 28 career turnovers. Although Philly has only a paltry 8 takeaways this season, I think they get their share tonight and beat up on the Skins who are both 0-4 SU and ATS in their last 4 games in the night spotlight.
