Does Ohio St. have anything to play for if UGA wins. The final 4 will be set at that point. Major let down spot right?

In reality almost definitely no. But if they thought they were competing with a one loss team in Oklahoma .....why not a 1 team loss with Alabama? But....in their hearts I think they will know

Question is: Will they make Georgia and Bama play in the first round? Better not
Clemson vs Bama
ND gets smoked by Georgia

There is no guarantee Alabama makes the playoffs with a loss.

No way Bama drops to #4. #1 would be Clemson. Notre Dame and Bama would play and Georgia would play Clemson

Bama and Georgia with the same record....Georgia beats them in the SEC Championship .....if they aren't ahead of Bama.....these voters should be hung for college football treason

we will see....and I doubt they lose by 14. They have beaten every team by 20+ points this year and have a higher power rating then any team in the past 10 years. They are getting in. If we are talking about loses then Ohio St. lost to Purdue by 20+ and Ok already loss to an average Texas team and can't play D. If Bama loses they will lose to the #4 team in the country in a Champ game. Bama is in!

I just hope they get stomped so the committee will consider going back to the drawing board

When you look at Alabama's resume, it isn't spectacular.

- Beat shitty Louisville
- Beat Ark St
- Stomped a lousy Miss team
- Beat A&M didn't cover
- UL Lafayette
- Awful Arkansas
- Beat Missou 39-10
- Beat Tenn 58-21, another average at best SEC team
- Beat LSU decisively
- 24-0 against a good Miss St team
- Citadel
- Auburn

The SEC is down this year. They need to win this game. If they lose, I can see them not making it.

When you look at quality wins, other teams have just as many if not more.

If we're going by the eye test, which is the main reason people pick Alabama, then the eye test keeps ND out too.

Its between Oklahoma and Alabama. Ohio St is out. Oklahoma just beat the team that beat them and it took a last play FG.

28-21, lots of time left.

I would love to see Alabama lose, to see how the committee handles it.

ND 5-0 vs top 25 teams and very good SoS, no way they get knocked out of playoffs

I'm not saying they would.

I'm saying if we're using the eye test, which is what many people do to prop up Alabama, then ND doesn't make it

They play in the SEC and have the #1 team the entire year. Your schedule argument is not valid. They currently have the #1 Resume S&P+ Rank. They could losr by 30 and still get in. I will take any bet you want saying that they will get left out of the playoff.

They play in the SEC. Big fucking deal. Its not up to usual SEC standards this year.

Schedule argument very valid. Show me the good wins

If they lose by 30, not gonna happen, no way they make it.

While i commend ND for their schedule, their opponents really didn’t help them much this year. All except Michigan ended up with a so so year at best. d may not beat Michigan if they were to play again today.
