Not that the owners can't afford it, the NFL handed out 8.2 billion in revenue to the 32 clubs. That said, a few franchises took a bath in my opinion on QB contracts. Rodgers, I can see, they sort of paid him for his last years 10 there but even he himself said 'everyone faces their mortality'. Yesterday in watching the Cardinals game, he didn't look like a $134 million quarterback. Age catches up to everyone. The ones that are more laughable to me are Kirk Cousins and Blake Bortles. Not comparing the two, Cousins is better than Bortles but almost anyone is better than Bortles. Cousins was not the guy in Washington and I hate to tell Minnesota this but he's never going to be the guy in Minnesota. Bortles just sucks, Cousins will flash some good play once in a while like last week in Green Bay, albeit against a shitty defense. But, Cousins is inconsistent and can rarely win big games, important games. Just my opinion but I don't think Cousins will get it done in Minny and Bortles has already gotten the hook. Flushing money down the terlet
