JACKSONVILLE (37.5) @ TENNESSEE (-5)
I am still baffled on how the Jags last week, beat the Indianapolis Colts in a shutout, 6-0. They beat the Colts with their backup QB, without RB Leonard Fournette, and three offensive lineman injured? Trap alert! Anytime you see a mediocre, or a poor team dominate a game, and defeat a favorite, you can expect a letdown the following game. Especially, when the visitor has a short work week to prepare. Away teams on Thursday nights generally don’t do so well. The Titans own the Jags, almost every time they face each other. Both teams are almost identical, however, Tennessee has the better quarterback. Predicted score. Tennessee 23 Jacksonville 17, Tennessee (-5), Under 37.5.

Jacksonville's game against Indy was amazing, made no sense. 6-0? No way.
Anyway, a theory I have is that it was Jax's "last stand", at home, and individually they might have been playing to show that Bortles was the problem, screw him, let's show everybody that we are good but he was the problem. So they fought hard on D the whole game.
The goofy Titans are an enigma, too, but they need this one for the playoffs, are on national TV, on a short week and I have to think Jax will not be fired up on the road with no playoff hopes. Yes, letdown. And a little chilly for the Florida boys, 40 degrees , "feels like 38 degrees". Is Mariota OK? He has been banged up, hand/arm. That is of concern.
SO I lean to Titans, too.
We shall see.

i think a lot has to do with the benching of Bortles, the team rallied around Kessler because they don’t want Bortles at the helm. I also lean Tenn but they are a true definition of a Jekal and Hyde team.

Not expecting the return of Fournette to be much of an issue. TN stops the run really well, especially at home on the green grass. Might snow tonight a bit too. Go Titans.

Titans, last two games, allowed 281 running yards at Houston and 156 to the Jets at home. Makes me nervous since Jax will try to run the ball exclusively so not to expose Kessler.

Hell, another thing is Jax only scored 6 points at home against a rather mediocre Colt defense. I did not see that game but still do not understand how those two teams played to a 6-0 score. Impossible.

We KNOW the Titans will play hard, fight for a playoff spot. We do NOT KNOW if the Jaguars will fight hard, on the road, in the cold, knowing they have no shot at the playoffs after such a great year in 2017.

So you have to lean to the Titans, though they are impossible to understand, too.... and Mariota is so inconsistent with his bad shoulder/arm/hand whatever. Against Houston he went down easy to avoid contact on runs, whereas Watson kept running for extra yards, sometimes gained another 10-15 yards. Huge difference.

Probably need to factor in Tennessee's goofy coach.

Never know what that dude will call or do.

Mariota will play tonight. Flags hurt Indy last weekend otherwise they woulld have won the game.
Kessler isn't dangerous. He'll dump a few off at the 10 yd mark.
TNF nobody wants to get hurt since the season is almost over. Jags are probably disappointed that they couldn't bring their golf clubs with them to Tenn.
Don't believe the story about showing everyone that Bortels was the problem. Many players are playing for contract incentives.
Titan win 20-17. GL

Great insights my friends. Good luck tonight. I am going to unveil on Sunday a big 7 point teaser.
