I have to share this with you, since it’s a true testament to how powerful your system is ...

Remember about 3 or 4 weeks ago when I drew your attention to GB 118 (and I had GB 119)? I was never quite sure if you went back and corrected GB’s # or not, since you and I continued to have a different # for GB for a week or two after I mentioned it. Long story short, it doesn’t matter if you changed it, didn’t change it, or if I was somehow in error on my end about GB’s # ... because the system somehow corrected itself and we’re back on the same # again. Our different #’s gave one of us a “10” (i.e., adjusted them down 1 point) and the system gave one of us a “9” (i.e., damn close, but no adjustment) and now we have the same #’s for GB again! Blew me away! It almost makes me wonder (and believe) that you could intentionally make an error with this system and eventually (perhaps within 3 or 4 weeks) the system will auto-correct itself.

A couple of years back I had misplaced the final #’s from the year before so I used week 16’s #’s from the year before that figuring it won’t be that different, and it should adjust itself anyway...this was back when I would first pop them up in week 4 or 5...
The first 3 weeks results had w’s and l’s scattered all over the board, my kid called me up and said, “what the f@#k”, this shit isn’t even close to working.
I had to go back to the previous year and rework every game for the last 2 weeks to get the correct #’s and then rework every game for the 1st 3 weeks of the current season to get it back to right...that’s the reason I write everything down on paper and keep all records.
I’ve been doing this without fail every week since 1977...( the #’s since about 1990)
That’s a long time to do anything other than breathe.
So it makes a difference if a mistake goes unnoticed, the price of correcting it is monsterous

I could only imagine! You must have been freaking out! Yeah, no doubt that an error, any error, would instantly goof up the forth-coming #’s each week, as well as the resulting W-L record and it would continue to raise havoc. And no doubt that such things (A) need to be prevented from happening at all, and (B) need to be corrected ASAP when they do occur. But I still maintain that eventually the system will indeed correct itself. Or at least it certainly will in the case of a “1-point” error for a single team. It may not happen quickly, but it will iron itself out in the long run, albeit while producing jacked up results during the interim. Obviously I’m on your side of the fence in terms of agonizing efforts to ensure 100% accuracy (errors can not be allowed to occur), but this just illustrates the rock solidness of your system.
