Anyone else like San Diego St as a 3 point dog vs Ohio?

I don't typically bet these teams like Ohio because I don't follow the league. But a friend does and really likes SDSU. A small wager just to make the game interesting to watch might be in order. An ML bet seems like the best option for this dog.

Ohio runs the ball well (option type of offense under Solich) but have a hard time on defense stopping the pass

San Diego State should be able to stop them running under Long seen enough of the option game but I seen the Aztecs struggled down the stretch

Long's bowl record is a bit subpar. Also bowl teams off OT losses generally don't fare well. I think it's like 11-18 ATS.

I am looking at SD St as an opportunity.
MWC vs MAC, they beat AZ St and Boise early, hung close to Fresno State on the road, superior defense compared to Ohio, but SD St lost several games late in the year. One I do not count, they went to Hawaii, last game of the year... it happens.
Need more research if they had injuries, if so will players be back?, etc. Motivation? Will SD St. be fired up? Possibly since the staff will tell them 1000 times they are a dog to Ohio.
Ohio solid, offense seems strong (put up points @ VA and Cincy), always well coached but I do not understand how a MAC team in this spot is a favorite... TBD.
