Ho boy, what a close one! DAL & Amari Cooper remained hot as they came back to beat the upstart Eagles to go up 2 gms in div. Teaser went down in flames as Cali boy Goff couldn’t handle the cold & threw the ball to everything BUT his receivers. IND & OAK helped soften the blow, while ARI could not get “O” going w/loss of Christian Kirk. For some reason, I completely left out my MIA +7 ½ play for 1 unit. I would be bragging so much! I also got lucky on LAC +3 ½ over KC on Thurs for 1 unit in an amazing gm to watch.
Regular Season POW 9-5, Teasers 9-5, GOY 0-0, Overall 38-28-1 (44-30-1 undocumented).
HOU -6 ½ was on a 9 gm win streak before going down to Andrew Luck last wk. It was a painful loss @ hm allowing IND to stay 2 gms behind. HOU will definitely be focused on the rd against a less than marquee opponent in the NYJ. NY hasn’t been completely awful, covering 5 gms ATS this yr, including their last 2 on the rd. However, they’ve dropped their last 3 @ hm albeit mostly w/McCown @ QB. The last hm gm Darnold played was vs MIN, which I compare this gm to. Off NY’s big win against IND, Darnold & co got rolled by a massive pass rush & balanced MIN attack to lose by 20. I don’t expect Darnold to throw 3 pix & lose a fumble here, but it’s hard not to see it happening. HOU owns the 5[SUP]th[/SUP]best run “D” & is 2[SUP]nd[/SUP]in rushing TDs allowed, so Sam will need to air it out to move the ball. Enter Watt & Clowney, who have 19 ½ sacks on the season together, applying pressure that helped HOU’s secondary tally 13 INTs to be tied for 8[SUP]th[/SUP]in the league. On “O” HOU is inconsistent, but if they can take advantage of NY’s 6[SUP]th[/SUP]worst run “D”, Watson should feast. His connection w/Hopkins has been fantastic this season, & only got better w/the arrival of Demaryius. TE Jordan Thomas has also been a nice red zone & 3[SUP]rd[/SUP]down target. NYJ are riding a high, while HOU is stinging after a loss, so this appears to be a nice spot for the Texans to cover a TD.
