I think it's safe to say the Saints and Rams have been figured out...

....no need to cry any tears if either of these teams make an early exit from the playoffs.

Lets face it,every team is going to have those type of games especially when playing on the road and a division foe.In the playoffs any team can get upset, as all the other teams didn't make the playoffs cause they were not good enough, they made it cause they played well through the season. If one of these teams get an early exit well so be it,it happens

Can't remember a year that it was more wide open. If you got a ticket to the dance, then believing you have a shot is not insane.

Bears are the team to be imo in NFC ….Chargers in AFC...maybe I'm biased , holding a 162/1 matchup with those 2 teams

Defense with a good QB/clutch QB travels well in playoffs. Look at the teams that won 4 games and did it on the road
97 Broncos. Good defense great QB
2000 Ravens. Dominant defense
2005 Steelers Very good defense great QB
2007 Giants Great defense Clutch playoff QB
2010 Packers good defense Great QB

Colts are playing as well as any team in the league right now and will be very dangerous in playoffs, if they get there. They could win last 2, finish 10-6 and still not get in. They need a Chargers win over Ravens Saturday night desperately. Solid defense, great QB and peaking at the right time. They fit the wildcard winning SB teams perfectly. But will they get the chance?

SAINTS will be fine........When was the last time they gave up more than 17 pts.??

and Drew Brees is nearly unbeatable/clutch at Home--- if they wrap up Home field =SOLID FAVORITE to go.................(just ask that Choptalk guy)

AFC is really wide open I agree.......

saints dont have to leave home until the super bowl if they make it that far. just completed a 3 game road trip and just have to win 1 more for home field throughout. they are home for good now so i imagine they are still the team to beat in the whole nfl and just had a tough road game in division, nothing to worry about.

I agree. Saints will be very tough at home. Only team I see with a chance to beat them is the Bears. But only if they play their best defensive game of the year.

Will the Saints be the odds on favorite in the NFC? Of course. Is there cause for concern....of course. This team was averaging over 37 points per game over the first 11 games. It didn't matter where they played. The fact that people are now qualifying their statement with "well, they're at home now" really speaks volumes. Over the last 3 games, the offense has averaged less than 17 points (exactly the same amount of points quoted above regarding their defense). The Saints and Rams have gone from being immortal to simply mere mortals in the last 3 weeks.

And all 3 of those games were on the road. They are a different team when playing at home.

Home field doesn't really matter in the NFC

Saints have maybe the best home field advantage in the whole nfl. Eagles wouldn’t have made it to the super bowl without it last year. What are you talking about doesn’t matter in the nfc

When I say it doesn't matter, I mean specifically between the Rams and Saints.

For New Orleans it'd be a nice thing to have, sure, but I don't think the Saints really need it to go far in the playoffs. They could easily go into LA and beat the Rams. In fact, I think they would.

The Rams might be a better team on the road than at home in the playoffs. That dull crowd in LA really doesn't provide a significant home field advantage. I think playing at home just adds pressure to a young quarterback in that situation against a a HoFer like Brees. I like their chances more if they are playing more loosey goosey on the road.

I just don't think it's very significant in the NFC at least. Just my two cents.

Yawn. Typical response from the person that never reads posts before replying. Just go away.
They average 38 points a game at home, so the fact they only averaged 17 the last 3 games on the road means nothing. Again, they are a different team at home. Your 3 game road stat you mentioned had no meaning at all. Now you can go away.

This Bears team has the tenacity to win it all this year- wasn't expecting them to be this good. Chargers looking so!id as well.
