The unbelievable run of greatness is over.

All of us outside New England can see it. How are you doing with coming to grips with reality?

We'll see about that.

If I had to play the Patriots in the playoffs, I'd be worried.

I've always laughed at threads like this through the years. It's a very easy statement to make about any team as only one is going to win it all. But comparatively speaking to most teams, they are wrong more than right.

They are an above average team right now. Defense is average at best. Having a tough time winning on the road. Brady just isn't himself and age catches up to everyone. Gronk doesn't put the fear into defenses like he used to. On and on and on.

Could they bring it together one last time and make a run? Sure. They have Brady and Bill.

But this year is different. This is a large sample size we are looking at. This isn't everyone writing them off after a couple of bad games early in the year.

Im fairly confident the run is over.

Who is gonna take them out?

So if you’re a Chiefs fan and you have Tom Brady coming into your building for an AFC Championship game, given how you’ve choked so many times at Arrowhead and Andy Reid is your coach, you’re not a little worried?

I wouldnt want to play an underrated New England team in the playoffs

I would be surprised if the Pats got back to the S.B. this season.

Who knows though.

Time will tell

Theyre definitely regressing a little each year it seems like. But I don’t see the team that is definitively going to knock them out.

the stars could align where the end up the 2 seed and then who knows, its still the patriots as much as i want to discount them they have done it before. the era is about over though so i think this is the last run. gronk wont be back next year, probably wont be playing at all and if they have a super bowl run in them (doubtful) brady should retire on top. its not anything anyone isnt seeing on the field but the mystique is also going away since the team just isnt as good and the rest of the AFC is catching up.

Depends on who they have to play on the road. I'll go with whatever team that is.

Patriots 3-5 on the road this season. And they are 1-4 in their last 5 road playoff games. And that was with a great Tom Brady.

Good Tom Brady won't be good enough this year.

Their overall talent has not been top notch for the past 6 or 7 years. Brady and Belichick have made up the difference by being better than their counterparts on the other sideline, for the most part. This upcoming draft needs to be a homerun.
Bill needs to stop trading 1st and 2nd round picks and getting 20 7th rounders in return. One of his flaws is he likes to prove how smart he is by picking a 5th rounder that turns out to be a starter rather than keeping the original higher pick. That luxury is gone, the tables are close to bare now and Brady needs support.

they are playing possum. they want teams to be overconfident and it is working. if the 14pt underdogs in the 01 superbowl vs the greatest show on turf was a shock wait until this year for a bigger one. they will defeat the 6 seed and go on to kansas city or houston and win handily. then the afc championship game will have the host shivering in their cleats wondering if they can knock them off. (they won't) then on to the superbowl and the rams and saints are already showing signs of ineptitude.

LOL. Ok.

Let's make sure to lose 5 games so we have to go on the road in the playoffs. Where Tom is 1-4 on the road the past 5 times he has played a road playoff game. And now at 41 years of age and with a team with less talent.

Just to make others think we aren't good and they will overlook us.

Ok. Great plan.

The run ends when Bill B and Brady leave. As a dolphins fan, I CANNOT wait!!

however the pats run is still ongoing although I think they do not make the super bowl this year if they don’t get a first rd bye
