What would have happened if this wager won.............

A friend of mine played this ridiculous wager. But it got me to wonder what would have happened if it won? It likely would have never been paid or there is likely some clause to the max amount you can win on a wager. But if that is the case, why would they allow such a crazy amount to be won actually put through?

He does these crazy wagers but never ever a payout opportunity like that.

I'm going to assume it is offshore? Isn't there a limit to how much you can win on a parlay?

Well he isn't getting paid that's for sure

I've seen some places that limit those payouts to like 10k in the fine print on some of those parlays.

I had to check with him, that wager was done at sportsbook . I am curious as to what their max payouts are for this type of wager.

I can't say I've ever seen a chance at 192 billion for a $1 betting sports.

I doubt they'd pay 192 billion. I'm not sure what worse, the book offering this or the guy betting it.

Depends on which book he bet it at,, however,, EVERY book has parlay payout limits,, heritage is 100g

Ive never seen a dollar amount, usually a multiplying factor, like 25:1 for example. A local I know had to do this after some guy stroked him for a couple exotic $100 parlays that paid out like 100:1 or something stupid. Guy did it twice, local didn't have to pay out one because guy lost it all within a week. ha!

I don't disagree but if that's the case the book's software should make the parlay read the correct payout so that the customer is confirming the correct payout.

I am already set as is my family. His family would have been set but only if they would have paid and I seriously doubt he would have seen very much. I haven't been able to find on their site what the max payout is. I can't even fathom what would have happened.

Usually capped at 100k to 150k max payout.

I won a parlay that paid $5 one time.

8.7. The maximum dollar amount that may be won by an individual member on a weekly basis is US$100,000.00. (Please note, our weeks run Tuesday thru Monday). With the exemption of:
- (a) In the event that $50,000 or more of the weekly winnings is the result of a winning a 10, 11, 12 or more team parlay, then the weekly maximum winnings is raised to $200,000.00.
- (b) The weekly limit on winnings of $100,000 does not apply to progressive jackpot winnings.
8.8. The Cash Out option availability will be subject to our discretion.
