What is this trend of handicappers here buying out of their posted plays?

I've seen it a few times here today.

Guy posts team A then later comes in and says he bought out of the game and took team B. WTF? Do you all do this at a sportsbook? Make a play then shit yourself and play the other side at the counter? I've never seen anyone do that.

Guys, I've been here at the RX a long time and I find this kind of disturbing. Some of you guys are decent cappers and some of you get hot. When you're on a streak, people blindly follow your plays. Now, I'm not saying the player doesn't accept some of the responsibility of making the play but come on, if you post a play, don't come in at the last second and and change the play. Some guy may have put money on team A then went to work and had no clue you bought out? It's borderline unethical.

Am I crazy here? If you're going to post the play, post the play and call it a day.

Thoughts?

I agree! If you want to buy out, do it behind the scenes! People follow these plays and may not have the opportunity to buy out. I can see doing it if information changes last minute like a QB sitting out preparing for the NFL draft

In bowl season I completely understand it. Things happen, news comes out sometimes right before games, sometimes lines get heavily steamed the last hour etc. I know a guy that places his bets the weekend lines come out and then plays all the same games the day of the game, both bets will be the same amount, sometimes they are the same sometimes they aren't, and then sometimes he middles the jackpot. DOn't recommend it, but its what he does.

That being said, they aren't your bets, no one named you RX God or Mod, so move on.

I personally don't see anything wrong with that. Cappers might see line movements, weather, injuries, trends, or missed out certain key information that affect their capping and buy it off last mins. If it happens frequently than that is a no-no in my book. I do too buy off here and there via live/2h, it's still gambling no matter what so of course it's never go your way lol.

I actually think it's great a capper telling you that they're buying off, it shows he/she cares. It's not a cappers fault for buying off, posted to alert others that follow the original play and others was busy working, running errands...etc and couldn't see the update message. Again, can't stress enough, it's still gambling whether buying off or let it roll.

I see your point but posting plays on a public forum is a bit different. I think if you post plays, you’d better be damn sure you like that team as others are following you.

Then don’t post plays if you’re going to flip flop right?

wtf are you? The sports betting ethics police? Be happy the guy or guys you are talking about were kind enough to tell you they were buying off. You want some cheese with your whine?

I simply asked a question. You’re a classy poster.

Let stuff go from months ago. Nothing is ever personal. You’re making it personal.

I don't even know what you are referring to months ago. Some of us have a life and don't hang on to a posting conversation on here or whatever may have happened?

That being said, if someone buys out of a bet, so be it. You find the need to be superior to people here and desperation to be relevant.

Don’t know why you’re taking this so personal. Just asked a question and you’re going off. If you aren’t a fan of the conversation, it’s easy to ignore the thread.
