We all saw last night how Vandy had no motivation in there game vs Baylor . How can we predict that shit show by the Dores ? Wow !!

I know Purdue will be motivated ....but will Auburn ????

Taking a look at losses this year by both teams and wins on road

Purdue has 3 Wins on the road but the best defense they faced was number 79 rank Indiana who gave up 29.9 ppg .

Purdue lost 13-23 at Msu , who to me reminds me of Auburn a bit ... Defense Msu # 12 / 18 ppg and Auburn # 19 / 20.5 ppg . ... Auburn has a better Offense that MSU ... Auburn ranked # 86 / 25.1 ppg ...Msu Ranked #117 / 19.8 ppg ..

Auburn has more size than Msu has well .

Auburn has 3 losses on the road this year but look who they lost too .... on Defense ... Alabama Ranked #4 / Miss St Ranked #1 / Georgia Ranked # 17 .... there only win on road vs horrible D Ole Miss ranked # 107 ...

To me guys ...if Auburn is Motivated here they should handle Purdue , especially after losing vs UCF last year in a Bowl game ...

Not sure I will play it ....but my lean is Auburn ...regardless of Big 10 success so far in Bowls ... 10-1 last 11

Thoughts ??

Not sure what you mean when you say they had no motivation. You are assuming they are the better team and should have won. If they didn't they were not motivated. They aren't a good team. Purdue I would assume should be as or more motivated. Who knows though.

I think Auburn has to completely blow Purdue off the ball and dominate running to win this game. They could but I just don't see it. JMO Purdue by DD.

Buddy of mine that lives in Nashville said he is seeing black and gold everywhere. No sign of Barn fans.

I know fans don't translate to how a team plays, but there apparantly is no motivation for War Eagle Nation

Great post. I'm with you 100%. Most all of the guys I follow on Twitter and on TheRX are on Purdue and I don't understand it. A common agreement is everybody assumes Auburn won't be motivated. I don't know how one can tell that so far. I also believe this is the toughest Defense Purdue is facing all season.

Looks like the public is heavy on Purdue and Over. I may fade and go both ways. BOL!

What I'm saying is that there is no reason to say they weren't motivated unless you go by outcome. What makes you say they were not motivated besides the fact that they lost?

What about the locker rooms? I hear Auburn players hate not only the coach, but also the QB. And they’ve got a handful of players looking to transfer and get the Hell out of Dodge

Look to the coaches bowl records when trying to establish a metric for the elusive "motivation". Purdue's coach seems to know how to win bowl games. Auburn's does not. My guess is that if I researched it a little further, Auburn would have entered as the favorite in the bowl games Auburn has played under Malzahn while the opposite is true of Purdue under Brohm.

When rumors fly around like that ...makes you wonder is the game worth betting or just take the Motivated Purdue ?

Will will see ...

Purdue ...may be a bit more motivated with this news ...

Jim Irsay ( Colts Owner ) loaned his personal jet to this kid to fly he and his family to the game to b honorary captain and will walk out for coin toss. This kid happens to b an ex student and die hard Purdue football fanatic that has stage 4 bone cancer and is in hospice !

Purdue seems to be MUCH more motivated, and the national story about their special fan will actually help Purdue.
Fans will travel for this, it is a good bowl for them to play a storied SEC program that has won the National Championship in recent years.
Auburn in the SEC, this is a letdown, played Bama, LS, Georgia, this game is a pain in the ass for them. The only thing is, last year they bombed against an inferior UCF team, will they do it again or will they learn from that? I say, they will bomb again. I LIKE SEC dogs in these bowls, Auburn is a small favorite.
And coach Brohm is a driver, wants to win this game, he is instilling a new culture at Purdue.
So I would say Purdue, though Kaboom is right you might want to do live betting after the first few series, you can see if the line of scrimmage activity is going one way or another. Last night "top" D for Miami let Wisky run for big yards first series, that was telling.

Does anyone have the bowl records of the remaining coaches? Maybe that will help to get a read on whether the team will be motivated or not. Just a thought

At the game now and the amount of fans are pretty even for both sides with just a little more Black and Gold walking around.
