The back up QB is Jack Allison, he played in six games was 6 of 10 passing with 1 TD and 1 INT. He is a transfer from M Fl and was a 4 star recruit. They also plan to play a true freshman with no game experience named Trey Lowe III.
It would seem to me this all points toward a Cuse win, but there are 11 players on each side. Does anyone remember the first time a guy named Tua Tagovailoa played his first game? Maybe Allison does the same thing, he's obviously talented.

Thanks, we are aware of the WR out, and an NFL lineman, too, and also the OC, but the key will be if this kid is OK. I have watched backups for decades, and you watch and in a few plays (or maybe 2 series) you can kinda see if the guy has his shit together. Sometimes, they are just fine! Sure, no Grier, but he might be ok with a month to prepare with the first team.
But IMO WV might not be motivated after this multiple-bummer of a situation, IMO Syracuse probably is much happier to be there. Hate to lay 3 but leaning to Cuse. Might do live in play after watching a few series.

So allison will get the start at qb. He is a 4 star transfer from Miami. He knows the system. Word is he has a stronger arm than Grier but is less mobile. He is a statue in the pocket. Left guard cajuste is out too. His replacement will be wickline who basically played every play against oklahoma and did a good job. Wr Jennings is out too. Wvu will start simmons, who played a ton this yr. Holgerson will call the plays and says he will play Lowe at qb some. He is more of a dual threat player. If it rains like it's supposed to ,I look for wvu to run the ball more today with 4 rb. It will help keep the d off the field. Other than the lb position, everyone should be a go today on d. This may be the worst d wvu has played all yr.
