Miami U hires D Coordinator Diaz

He had been hired by Temple Dec. 13 as their new head coach but told them he was staying at Miami last night.

I can see the draw to stay home but he did commit to Temple and had signed a new 4 year deal with them. Kind of a douche move.

Temple should sue Diaz. Incredible how low Miami has sunk. Richt was going to be their savior.

The canes haven’t been the same in the 2003 fiesta bowl game vs Ohio state and the “phantom call”. A year or 2 later, they join the ACC and was never able to dominate.

They left the orange bowl after 2007. Stadium was a shithole but gave them a nice home field advantage.

Canes used to be dominant. They would get most of the studs in south Florida. Now Nick Saban flies a helicopter to high schools, lands on their baseball field, and then signs the stud recruits out of south Florida (other schools have a nice pipeline here as well)

those canes teams from 2000-2002 were just pure awesome
