WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM PST TUESDAY ...

* WINDS ...Areas of north to northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with
gusts to 40 mph are expected to develop this afternoon and
continue through Tuesday afternoon. The strongest winds will
occur during the night through morning hours, and will be the
most widespread in the foothills, where local gusts to 45 mph
are possible.

Not sure if wind will affect game or not since it doesn’t start until 5pm. Just a heads up.

Saw the same weather alert, but if you check NOAA, Weather.com or Accuweather, it looks like winds in the mid-teens or slightly above, lessening as the game goes on. Not too concerned. However, the total is dropping. Not sure what other bettors are seeing. Grass field? Maybe some think UW will be the first D that will stuff Ohio State.

If the wind is in the teens, it will affect OSU's superior passing game... if it is 20 or more, wow, it is a huge issue and I will buy out of my BIG wager on OSU and get it down to a regular play.
This needs to be updated as the day goes on...!
Thanks for the info I had heard a bit of this but didn't know it was possibly this bad.

I had a good total line of over 56.5 and was able to buy that out. Found an over reaction line with a little bit of extra juice of over 53. Still think it goes over but 53-56 have multiple key college football key numbers.

Weather shows a gradual lessening of the winds starting somewhere in the first half. Thinking OSU knows the weather and will plan accordingly. 13-14 mph is not that bad and the ball can be thrown accurately. High teens and beyond is a bigger problem

Much appreciated... keep up with the updates. IMO strong wind helps Washington, OSU throws those deep balls and opens everything up.

Washington is the strongest running dog in the system this year. Something to note.

I agree, this 27-38mph wind changes everything.
I will take back my BIG move on OSU and make it small, they still are likely to prevail, I was looking at them scoring 40+ and making Washington try to pass to catch up, this is not looking to be the case.
Shit.

With winds in the teens, that will only effect long floating passes. Remember, there is a lot of offensive speed and playmakers here that will take a short pass and turn it into a long gain. And sometimes medium passes, or even longer ones, are thrown on a line. Some great running backs too. Could lose the over, but I just don't see it. Two strong QBs, Meyer's last game, Petersen's ability to game plan…it just feels like a great game coming, with big plays on offense. Wish I had this total, not 57.5.

Report says 27mph, with 38mph gusts. That is a big issue, IMO. Punts into the wind from your 10 yard line can mess up everything. OSU likes to throw long to spread out the defense, and they usually hit a few ones, this will limit them IMO they are the better passing team.

One good thing about the season being almost over and I will not have to hear / see these annoying Lexus commercials for the love of God how much are they spending?

And that jingle is getting to me.

STOP IT!!!!

Despite my screenname, the pizza commercial that repeats "DONG" over and over -- I hope the marketing team all gets mouth herpes.

I'm getting mixed reports on the severity of the wind for the Rose bowl. Some outs have the win at under 20mph until 3pm and then dying off afterward, the game starts at 2pm. So maybe a 1st half under?

I managed to grab the Buckeyes at -5.5 for the game

Thanks! You are a good capper and always provide some good insight on things like this.
Well I think I will be looking at the pre game and weather report, I have a large wager on OSU - 6.5, I will decide to buy out of part of it depending on the final word on the wind. It is down to 6 or even 5.5 so I might be surrounded with a possible losing middle. Great. Then I might just ride it out. I dunno.

Those weather alerts are at odds with the better weather websites-NOAA, weather.com- conflicting for sure. Anyone live near the Rose Bowl?

HA yes, true.
Hard enough to predict a winner ATS, now we are trying to predict the weather, too.
I definitely definitely will check several sources right before game time there has been some erroneous weather reports already this bowl season then the game is on and it isn't so.
