</form>In incidents reported to police, men were lured into sharing compromising footage of themselves by organised gangs posing as a woman.
They were then blackmailed over the footage.
Police in Craigavon said: “Recently we have dealt with multiple online blackmailing incidents which involve blokes being tempted, coaxed and seduced into posing in revealing positions, even masturbating on web cam to strangers.
“To most, this will seem odd, until you remember the last time you were left thinking with something other than your brain...
“The set up: ‘girls’ send suggestive, dirty messages, building it until they ask you to video call them. During the conversation they’ve added you on Facebook or other social media and thus get your friends list.

They offered a four point guide in what to do if you find yourself in that situation.
1. Paying them will not make them go away. It will make them ask for more. Never pay.

They now have links to the profiles and will send you that list too, with the threat of sharing the video with your friends if you don’t pay hundreds of pounds.”
