Unfortunately his daughter died last Thursday (prognosis was never good) so that sucks. He intends to play

Nick Rose has kicked touchbacks on 68% of his career kickoffs. Chargers K Mike Badgley has kicked touchbacks on 17% of his career kickoffs. The Chargers want to put the ball in the end zone and not risk Cordarrelle Patterson beating them with a big return.

Interesting move for the week of a Divisional Playoff game: the Chargers are signing kicker Nick Rose to their active roster today to handle kickoff duties Sunday vs the New England Patriots, per source.Adam Schefter

t'll be referee Ron Torbert and crew who will oversee the Patriots' playoff opener when they host the Chargers in the AFC Divisional Round on Sunday afternoon, according to Football Zebras.
Torbert is in his ninth season as an official and fifth as a referee. He's in the midst of his seventh (three Wild Card, four Divisional Round) postseason assignment, an honor he's received in every year that the's been eligible.
Since becoming a full time referee in 2014, Torbert has called four Patriots games and the Patriots are currently 4-0 in those contests. That also includes the AFC Divisional Round win for New England over the Tennessee Titans last year at Gillette Stadium. In that 35-14 rout for the Patriots, Torbert's crew called 14 total penalties for 99 yards. In Chargers' six games that Torbert called dating back to 2014, Los Angeles (also San Diego) has gone 2-4.

He won't have a significant role. His return is close to meaningless

he was a full participant in practice yesterday, which is different from his previous of limited. I can't predict if he'll get snaps but if he does, any are better than Virgil Green

Temperature looks to be real close to 32 on Sunday with precipitation staying to the south. Chargers are not the buccaneers nor the manatees think they will be ready to handle the weather. I do not like to bet against B and B in the playoffs but if there ever was a decent angle I would hope it’s for Phillip rivers and his 9 kids dam that pussy must look like a catchers mitt Touchdown

besides historical trends for Pats at Foxboro, it is tough to find power rankings that support them easily handling the Chargers. Rivers is my hometown boy so we'll see if he can finally made a deep playoff run

I guess you learned nothing from last week making definitive statements like these.

He wouldn't be playing if his return were meaningless.

He may turn out to have zero productivity but if you watched this guy play at all you wouldnt use the word meaningless ever

Especially the way Rivers uses his TE's when he has a viable one at his expense.

I think Hunter being healthy opens up the field quite a bit for Rivers
