I see you thinking in a "drink upstream from the herd" way but can you explain a bit? Sorry Sam, don't mean to hijack your thread.
I like Indy as well.
im biased
i live in new orleans (granted, im a falcons and rams fan but still)
this defense is for real. so playing off of a bye and in the dome, it can get into a track race real quick. eagles showed the secondary like maddox biting on those double moves will get punished big time.
would i lay saints -8.5? prob not. i've been backdoored on worthless scores like 5 times this past month so i'm not really good juju atm. but between chiefs, pats, saints, and rams, i think the saints have the best situation for taking chalk as far as firepower and true home field advantage (ie. 12th man). believe me this whole city doesn't just want a sb ring, they are expecting it and so does this saints roster. saints staying out of the media should tell you a lot about their focus.
i will acknowledge that philly played much better after the beatdown and the saints trailed off at the end, so that would be the biggest counter argument. in single elimination, it is about timing so philly has that. they also have a chip on their shoulder as they are the champs and are facing an 8.5 pt spread. those two things alone are enough to keep me away from teasing philly. would prob tease the saints if anything.
