Opening numbers seem to be LA -7 and 49 which translates to a line match of LA 28 DAL 21

Cowboys allowed 28 pts (never more than that) just once in 15 games (not including meaningless final game)

Rams allowed 21+ in eight of their 15 games (also tossing their Week17 result)

I think this drops to 5.5 and 48 by Saturday evening

Rams allowed 193 pts in seven home games before Week 17 (27.5 pg)

Take out the KC 51 pointer and it's 23.7 pg

Cowboys D allowed avg 20.2 pts allowed in seven road games before Week 17

Can't argue......Yesterday, prior to the last 2 minute 75 yds when Pokes were playing soft, Seahwaks had three sideline toe touch catches for just over 100 yds. Yes, those count but otherwise they had about 115 yds in first 58 minutes. Such stifling is how Cowboys won then and also vs NO six weeks ago. It will be needed again this Saturday

hmm, Cowboys are my wagering nemesis no matter what I do, last night, case in point. Rams seem to have a hard time stopping the run and not sure how Gurley is mending so since I like the pokes, the Rams have to be the play.

Black QB = bold
Black coach = bold

Well, if you go by the black QB/coach angle:

Colts/Texans - void
Hawks/Cowboys - void (cancel each other out)
Chargers/Ravens - black QB lost although black coach won (in that matchup rule says take coach)
Eagles/Bears - void

Chargers/Pats - black coach vs Bellicheck
Colts/Chiefs - black QB
Eagles/Saints - void
Cowboys/Rams - black QB

Theory held true in Round 1. Theory says Pats, Colts and Rams are winners. I'd imagine it goes 2-1 with Pats and Rams as winners.

If the NFL wasn't so discriminatory, we'd still have Marvin Lewis... who was really the NFL Godfather of this rule:

Marvin maintained a perfect playoff record of 0-7 in the playoffs. Would have to check and see how many his teams covered. Likely 2-5 ATS at best.

But Marvin was the greatest gift of all time b/c you had Marvin as coach and a ginger as a QB -- the ultimate winning combination!

Resparking this here thread for an InGame chat n smak

Zeke goes off for 180+ and a TD, while Prescott racks up 220 and 2+ TDs pass&rush

Maher boots 2+ FGs and Cowboys hang 30 on a Rams club still not ready for January prime time

Dallas 30 LA 20

Dak is a very average QB, and is capable of putting up some real stinkers. The Rams stunk it up in last year's playoffs, but the Cowboys have done that since the Jimmy Johnson influence has faded

So the team that has the least stink is the Rams, and I'll take McVay over Garrett. Hell, I'll take almost anybody over Garrett, who's capable of losing this game all by himself with stupid decisions. That's my take on this game

Hey Run, what's the record for redheaded coaches in the playoffs?

Well I of course hope I can be crowing come about 1130pm tonight but the NFL Elite Eight is a tough match for all.

Prescott in 44 games with Zeke has 59 TDs 14 INT, so I think his actual number of "stinkers" is about three to four within that 44 games. If we were facing NE I would be edgy but the other six teams still in play are less than sterling for creating bad opposing QB play

Best to you however you bet this weekend...But absolutely if by some amazing confluence in next nine days we get a DAL v NE final I will be mailing a modest money order to your office address to stake a H2H wager....Cheers

Fun fact about Garrett and his red hair...dude literally gets 5+ haircuts weekly...treats his hair like most of us treat our face hair if we prefer clean-shaven

Dallas is just not a good road team this season. 3-5 on the road during the regular season. 1-3 against teams with winning records. The only good team they beat on the road was Philly and that was when the Eagles were at rock bottom with injuries.

I like backing good teams that have a chance to right a wrong of the past. The Rams lost at home last year in the playoffs and have been waiting for this moment for a full year. I think their defense dominates tonight and the Rams win comfortably.

Smoking Hot sports opinions are what I've come to expect from my fellow (western) Land of Eternal Sunshine

My life is sufficiently lame that I will be banging this thread for full three hours or until Cowboys surrender suicidal turnover that ends their season......Hope to see you boys here with me :)
