How well have super bowl champs done as dogs the following year in the playoffs......I'm assuming it hasn't happened too often.

Eagles are 1-0 in this spot so far & catching +9 at Saints

Well they lost by 40 during the season so 9 was to be expected ..... maybe more

this was with Wentz at the time, a secondary with not one CB that had much experience as Eagles top 4 or 5 backs were out injured. Lots of differences this time around including a boat load of confidence and a defense that has been playing well together recently.

As an eagles fan I didn't want to play the saints but I'll take it, def. can't complain at this point lol

Wentz threw 3 picks. Agolor was out. Tate was there less than 3 weeks. Jeffrey was still getting healthy. Ertz only had 2 catches. Goedert wasn't even used.

The offense will be very different this time around.

And I don't know why but the run defense for Philly was excellent for the first 5 games and the last 3 games of the season. In between they stunk and New Orleans took advantage.
