From a reliable website ...

Here's an interesting trend for the Patriots in divisional-round games: after seeing the total go under in every game from 2001-2007 (six games) the Patriots have seen the total go over in every single one of their divisional round games since (eight consecutive games). This total (47) would be the third-lowest of all those games. The Patriots have averaged 35 points per game over that stretch.

Over/Under Opened at 47 ...now it's 45 1/2 .... does the streak end at 8 straight overs ????

It does if they are building snowmen during the game

We'll be sending over some "Lake Effect" Snow from Cleveland just in time for the game...

For the guys that run queries, one that might be interesting to see would be number of fumbles and ints in weather below freezing compared to average temperatures. The football gets heavier and tougher to grip.

I got under 47.5-110 sun night at bet online. Nothing big but I figured it wouldn’t get any higher with weather reports.

I'm hearing it's going to be cold for sure and there is a decent chance of snow from my friends who live there and are going to the game. It's still a way out but I'm waiting until Sunday morning to see what the actual game time weather will be. NE and Brady thrive in that shit and I'm not so sure the Chargers will like it

They're expecting that storm to stay well south....but a little early still for accurate forecast.
Friday evening they'll have it pegged but as of now looks like chilly temps 20's only

Here's a trend...

Warm weather teams (LACH) playing at a cold weather city (NE) are 3-23. Cold weather defined as 30 degrees or below.

The key weather factor in this game is the temp. Below 30 gives an edge to the Pat's against a warm weather team.

Teams can play in cold weather, regardless of where they are from. It depends more on style of play than where you are from

Disagree.
Sure, sometimes you see a "warm" team adapt and play well, but usually they do not.
It is not discomfort, it is the physics of the game, the way you catch the ball, hold the ball, other different fundamentals. The cold teams are used to it and understand, a lot of the warm teams do not. Sometimes it is so cold that both teams are affected, though I do not think that will be the case Sunday. If somehow there is snow on the field, bet the mortgage on the Patriots.
There is a specific gambling term called "cold weather game" for a reason.
SURE, the Chargers might win, who knows if NE is really slipping or will they come out strong as they historically have... but you need to look at the temperature as a factor. And if there is snow...

So why would a team that runs the ball be affected by cold weather, if they come from a warmer climate??

Many of these players on these "warm weather" teams grew up in cold climates.
