Its raining ice here right now about 20 mins from the stadium and switching to snow around 3pm today. Its snowing all tonight and through game time tomorrow. Expecting 3-5 inches today and 1-3 tomorrow. Expect the total to drop

Excellent!
Thank you.
Please send updates I am very interested in this game, like KC a lot but wonder if conditions are bad if it will restrict Mahones & KC's explosiveness.
Sometimes a field is covered, heated, and is fine by game time, if there is no wind maybe the only issue will be the temperature (and the more you send the more I see your top 5 RX avatar).

the field is heated by pipes underneath it, depending on how bad the storm is, could effect the crowd and they have the snow last till about 5pm tomorrow local time, so i think we see some wind and snow during play

Doesn't the weather favor the team with the better running game? So kc can't be explosive and Indy can't be explosive correct?

I always think the weather favors a cold weather home team vs a dome team, and a grass turf team vs an artificial turf team (if the turf is wet or slippery especially).
BUT yes if it is very cold it hurts a passing team but they both rely on the pass... and though Mack is doing well in the running game for Indy, he really is benefiting from Luck's passing and the backups at KC are decent running backs.

You right. Who are you leaning on? All the #s are pointing against KC. I don't know but KC might show up and make all these doubters stfu.

You would have to think that at some point Hunt's absence will hurt KC. Let's see if the new set of RB's can have the same success in the PO game as versus bad teams with nothing to play for...I think not.

Still snowing here a few inches on the ground, the roads are covered. its going to keep up at this pace till about noon tomorrow. Then switch over to lighter snow. They still have above a 50% chance of snow during game hours with winds around 10-15 mph.

* a bunch of tickets are popping up available on facebook as the weather is having some looking to opt to stay home. Tickets can be had for $80 on the upper level and around 120-150 for lower level seats, so not much more than a typical chiefs game.

It has more affect on passing if it's a cross wind imo

I just saw the field. They are walking around clearing off the seats. The tarp is on and there is no snow on the field. A drizzle of freezing rain.

Looks like the heated field will be ok, but there is a 20% chance of light snow during the game, could hit, melt, and be wet or hell, freeze and be slippery if the heated field does not win the battle.

Gametime, they say, will be 31 degrees, "feels like 24", and yes this will limit the passing game. Some QBs are OK, some are not. The grip on the ball, the touch. And many receivers are not able to adjust. Some can. What a difference a 30 yard dropped pass can make.

I do know Luck mostly throws a very catchable ball, soft touch, does not zing it every time like some, and that might be something to consider. But he is a dome QB in cold weather. Mahones, who knows, he is very talented but this is a cold weather game.

10mph winds, they say, at this point. Not too bad especially if it is not a cross wind, but goes end zone to end zone.

Still snowing here, till about 4pm it will be steady and then start to slow down throughout the game.i think the temperatures and conditions might effect a dome team a bit
