Why do you have Dish in the first place? What advantage do they have over cable?

I personally cut the cord years ago -- I have an antenna on my roof that gives me cbs, nbc, abc, fox, wgn, and a few other channels. Everything I need for Chicago Bears football. Even MNF, if its the Bears, a local affiliate will pick up the game.

For everything else, I stream Red Zone via SlingTV

Dish customer service is pathetic, I would not recommend Dish at all. I dealt with them often thru my job for years , its amazing anyone even considers using them. Any & all all options out there are better than Dish

True but they were cheap at the time so I got them. I would love to bail but not sure of a better option.

What I use primarily is Hulu Live. It costs $30/mo and gets me all the new channels like Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, etc it give me a bunch of ESPNs and College stations which is great for NCAA football. The only thing Hulu Live doesn't offer is REDZONE. So when its NFL time, I usually pay for Sling TV just for the Redzone channel.

I did just a little research because I have Dish and have been pissed about the
HBO deal...the parent company AT&T keeps jacking up the price and Dish doesn't
just roll over and say Okay. AT&T knows that they can "lead" folks to buy the service
from other places they own or get higher prices paid to them other than by Dish.

sucks, but that's what happens when we lose competition and get closer to monopolies
