Hurts also drew interest from a number of other programs, sources told ESPN, including Auburn, Tennessee, Utah, UCLA, Florida State and Ohio State.
The Houston native went 26-2 as a starting quarterback at Alabama before he was benched in favor of Tua Tagovailoa this season.

During his two seasons as the starter, Hurts won an SEC Offensive Player of the Year award and threw for a combined 4,861 yards, 40 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, to go along with 1,809 yards and 21 touchdowns rushing.
Oklahoma has had success with transfer quarterbacks in the past, as Baker Mayfieldand Kyler Murray went on to win the Heisman Trophy and lead the program into the College Football Playoff in each of the past two seasons, most recently losing in the semifinal round to Alabama in the Capital One Orange Bowl in December.

as a terp alum i wanted him at md but shocked he chose oklahoma. nothing against OU as they are a great school but for him it would appear lose/lose for me. the school has gone to 2 straight CFPs and back to back heismans. the expectations for him are truthfully beyond what he can realistically deliver. if his numbers are great it will reflect on Lincoln riley, if they are terrible they reflect on him--at least with public perception. maybe he figures riley can prepare him for the next level like he did with baker and kyler but i think if he is successful it will show the world how great Riley is and not the talents of hurts. all things considered he has a competitive side to him that i cant deny, he clearly understands the pressure at oklahoma and the expectations. i just think after you have had a championship and success at the college level the next step is pro and what can you show to a team. although oklahoma has qb talents that go pro and drafted high i dont think even with a great year his numbers can compare to murray or mayfield or get the credit it deserves when it would be done by the same coach 3 years in a row with 3 different qbs.......

Jalen Hurts is absolutely terrible. His claim to fame is 28-2 as a starter. Doesnt like every Alabama qb in the past 10 years have a record similar to that

And watch somehow somewhere he will be drafted as a qb.

Tua will suck in the NFL as well just FYI
