CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP BOX POOL
Entry: $20
As part of a "meet in the middle" as far as box pools, I'm going to open up the Conference Championship Box pool for this Sunday. For each quarter and final, the COMBINED scores from both games will count. NO & KC (Home Teams) are vertical and LAR & NE (Away Teams) are horizontal. So for example, if it's KC 6-3 and NO 7-6 at the end of the first quarter, that's 13-9, so 3-9 is the first quarter winner.
What this does, it almost eliminates the concept that 0-3-7 are better boxes, as we'll be adding scores, and getting stuck with a 2-2 might not be the death knell that it commonly is.
In addition to the 4 winning exact boxes, there will also be smaller payouts for the 4 surrounding boxes. An example of this is shown in the Grid link below. Should box 100 win, boxes 99, 10, 90 and 91 will be the "adjacent winners."
The prize breakdown is on that link but here it is as well:
1Q; 160 (20 per adjacent)
2Q: 360 (40 per adjacent)
3Q: 160 (20 per adjacent)
Final: 700 (75 per adjacent)
By eliminating the better boxes and giving more value to the normally crappy combos, plus 20 winners to boot, there is a good chance we can get a fair amount of interest for this to work out. Plus, there are Super Bowl boxes everywhere, not too many of these so hopefully you get in on this.
NUMBERS DRAW
As with many drafts, we will use the Saturday EVENING state Pick 3s, then Pick 4s for the draw, going from left to right and top to bottom. The order will be as follows:
HOME: Louisiana, Missouri, Pennsylvania (3-4-5) and Indiana
AWAY: California, New Hampshire, Texas (Evening, not Night), Maryland
