Just saying. How bad does the NFL want that matchup. I'm guessing they'd even take Mahomes vs Brees as a back up wish. Anything but the Rams. I know they are prolific on offense as well but the whole Goff name even though he's played well just doesn't strike you as high profile compared to the other 2 qbs I mentioned.

In any case, here's hoping Drew Brees wins his 2nd one!

Was saying to someone else almost the same thing/

Brady vs Brees
Belle vs Payton
Legacy vs Legacy

2 legacies who have never had to face each other in a big meaningful game, and both happening finally as their careers are closing in on the end, just in time.

It would indeed be an epic match up. I totally agree.

Would love to Brady vs Brees

Goff & Mahomes have plenty of time left.

Good point. This might be the best and only real chance for Brees vs Brady. It's quite possible too. Saints at home are lethal. Rams are very tough but Saints in the dome hopefully pull it off. The tougher task is Patriots on the road against K.C but that is more than possible despite the fact that Patriots haven't been great on the road this season.

Networks are probably salivating at the prospect of this potential match up of great QBs.

who cares who the QB's are? You think guys like us won't watch the SB because Goff in it? Think people who don't really watch football but watch the SB care either? makes no sense.

Difference in ratings is very marginal based on SB opponent. Especially with these 4 teams.

Last year though if you had like JVille/Minn SB instead of NE/Phi, that could wind up being a decent sized difference.

SB will get high ratings as always no matter what, silly topic.

If you had Jacksonville/Minnesota with Keenum/Bortles at QB vs the Patriots/Eagles, that's probably worth 10% difference.

But that's like as big of an outlier as you can think of.

Nothing to pull a David Stern over tho...

I don't see it. Again, are guys like us deciding if we should watch the SB based on who the QB's are? Of course not. What about the "Grandma" that doesn't watch much FB but always watches the SB for commercials and what not, think she cares who the QB is?

We're talking an event that is getting 110-120 million viewers. Of course two teams in big markets with big name stars is going to do better with two teams in smaller markets with no big name stars. 10% is not that much. A few less "grandmas" will watch, a few less casual fans in big cities, etc

Seems pretty simple

If you think there would be next to no change in viewership with Blake Bortles and the Jags in the superbowl vs Tom Brady and the Patriots then I dunno what to tell you boss.

IMO That's being foolish but I can't pound it anymore.

I said agree as it relates to these 4 teams the difference is negligent.

LA's the #2 TV market in the nation. of course the NFL wants them in the SB

people that care about Brees vs Brady are watching the game no matter the QB matchup. NFL is walking around with an erection right now thinking of the ad revenue from LA vs Boston final with 2 of the top 10 largest markets in nation just like last year

KC vs NO? not so much .... two outside of top 25 and nobody particularly cares about either city or team. not like the folks that will tune in just to see Kraft and the Hoodie cry

I think people are sick of the Pats. People will probably watch to root against them and of course hardcore Pats fans. Either way it is the SB, so it gets views. I'm a big fan of the Pats. I'm making a pretty nice play against them so I am rooting for KC. Pats have won enough anyway. I'd also rather they lose in the AFC Championship than the SB. LA is a bore. Bree and Mahomes annoy me. This is a strictly 100 % betting playoff final four for me uness it ends up Pats and Rams which I will root for Pats and make no bets
