Honestly I had no dog in this fight, but if i was a Saints fan I wouldn't let the refs get out of town without a good tar and feathering........we've all seen some bad calls and no calls but that one ranks in the top3....sad.......

You’re crazy.

Lovestokicksss told all of us how important the referee is. The Rams never win with that referee. So since the referee has an obvious bias against the Rams, the no call was proper.

They missed 2 face mask penalties on the Saints. The Saints were flagged for their 1st penalty well into the 3rd qrtr. These refs were letting them play. And refs that are gonna let em play will not make a game changing call if it is even reasonably close. Think they let that one get away from them even with that mindset though.

I was on the Saints here pretty big. Didn't blink an eye. Sometimes I'm on the other side too. It evens out...for me at least. The Rams played a great game as well so cheers to the Rams backers.

Ditto. Brees played like trash and Payton must have popped a few too many oxys before the game because his playcalling was awful all game. Saints could have put the Rams away several times and didn’t. Saints fans can cry all day about the terrible non-call but it doesn’t change the fact that Saints shit the bed when it counted and their SB window is now shut for good.

Never rely on the refs! Blame it on Payton! Why the pass play on first down!?! Saved the Rams a time out!!! Should of kill time and kick a winning FG!

Now you know how jags fans felt playing against the pats last year with those bogus PI calls.

Or how any team feels playing the pats and the refs every year.

Like the cheifs last night. Blown call on a bogus hands to the helmet on brady that extended their OT drive.

I cannot think of a more blatant call, a more obvious call, ever, at a key moment that affected the outcome, in a playoff game, than this one.

Can anybody?

No contact beforehand to muddy the waters, the Rams DB ran at the receiver clean and clear, full speed, and smacked him, helmet to helmet, well before the pass got to the receiver.

Nobody else even close by.

Game over.

1st down, Rams cannot stop the clock, kick a short FG, Saints win.

Instead, the Rams are saved.

They will be talking about this for many years... the 4th quarter of both games yesterday were fraught with questionable calls.

(blaming the loss on Payton and/or Brees is a bullshit argument in this spot, sure, you can blame every coach and every QB every game that is a "constant", we are talking about a "variable", a soon to be legendary blatant obnoxious non-call that eliminated a Super Bowl visit for a HOF QB and a #1 seed team)

Here we go again. You can't get out of your feelings can you. My point in my thread was the refs have a huge impact on these games and its obvious if you watched both games. Next time I make a post I'll make sure I'm 100% correct instead of 75% correct, just for you. In my thread I stated in part "He does not call alot of penalties....." That was obviously correct. Move on sir.

By the way...I never stated this (in bold). Get your facts correct.

The idea that the officials took the game away from the Saints is silly.
Consider:

-The Saints led the game 13-0 and 20-10 and could not hold the lead
-The Saints play calling was horrendous. Every option play for Hill/Kamara was terrible and they fumbled
-The pass play on 1[SUP]st[/SUP] and 10 from the 13 with under 2 minutes was laughable.
-The Saints had the lead after the missed PI call
-The Saints won the toss in OT
-Goff outplayed Brees

You said they were 0-8 with this referee. So what was your point with this information??

That they were "due"

Complete bullshit. Your point was that the Ram lose with this referee.

The refs have a "huge impact on these games". Well no kidding, wow nobody here ever thought of that. Thats some high level stuff that nobody but you thought of.

LOL keep them coming Seinfeld

Serbone is also 100% correct.

Every game can be picked apart, assessing blame on coach and/or QB for not playing the perfect game. Shoulda run the ball, didn't "put them away", etc...

A blown call shouldn't be swept away by pointing out the the things a team could have done better.

Brees couldn't do what Brady did, end it on the first possession in OT

But that was a huge missed call

Whatever the NFL wants? The NFL gets....They control and pay the refs. The refs are hidden from scrutiny behind the shield. Oh yea? The one ref got fired for missing the easy call in the Browns game. A simple ploy to make one think they have integrity. Just like suspensions for "enhancement use." Youre not getting into the NFL without the use of enhancements. Youre not playing much without enhancements. Suspensions are another ploy to say they have or show integrity. Yes drug test them all? And 75% of the league would fall flat. Change rules to show theyre making a step towards integrity. Does nothing when a PI, missed call, holding penalty, or encroachment occurs to advance or retract a team from winning...pick your poison. NFL has always and will always be tainted
