May they never find a cure :). They cover so much this is almost a fucking crime

I am the most gracious winner (and loser) you can ever meet in life, but with so much bullshit be constantly hurled at the greatest team in NFL history, I feel it's necessary to give a little back

PS: If they lose in the SB, does that still mean their run is over? Just wondering

It’s kind of crazy.. there’s hardly any real weapons around Brady.. I guarantee if you put a mediocore qb in there, the pats would be about a .5 team. Brady carries this team. Gronk isn’t where he used to be. James white and Sony Michel are decent RBs but they certainly aren’t top tier. Edelman is his only tried and true that’s left.. and somehow they still get it done.

Call me crazy but I think they’re still contenders next year.. win or loss in February. Coach B just brings out the best in his players.

That was the most unbelievable comeback since the Falcons. Down with 2 minutes to go, engineers the drive to go into OT with the much worse team...no problem. Then drives it right down their throat on the first drive. I'm not how much more clear Brady can make it but he's the best that ever lived. Period.

If you honestly can say that the Patriots were evenly matched with the Chiefs, on the road, you need to go re-check your stats. Josh Gordon, their only deep threat was also out on top of them being much worse on offense. For me that was the last game I need to watch, aside from them covering 60%+ since 2004, that tells me that they are the best dynasty in my life time. If you are betting the NFL, you can't help but to love to bet on these guys.

Belichick has a little more to do with all of this than we give him credit for (although I'm disappointed with that 4th qtr)

But once the Patriots won the coin flip, I loved their chances

Absolutely great point. Should have put it in.

The real handicap going into the playoffs is that Belichick schemes against rookie QB's amazingly. He has an unreal record vs. rookies. Kept Mahomes 14-0 at the half with a defense that talk show pundits made fun of. The Patriots had the much less talented team tonight, on both offense and defense, and still managed to make it happen. I've seen them do it vs. Watson, I've seen Belichick do it vs all of the rookies. Shutting them out until the half - you're exactly right Willie, Belichick should get a lot of the credit here.

But when there are 2 minutes left in the game, down points and need a TD to win, Belichick can't complete the drive to win the game. The only person that can do that is Brady.

I guess forget the roughing the passer call that never existed. If anyone was on the fence regarding the fix with that team that should seal it
It’s one fixed call after another.

Belichick is the driver, not Brady. Brady is a terrific QB but his skills are no better than most awesome QB's. He is blessed with a beautiful mind coach. Not taking anything away from Brady, but he is certainly not one of the most gifted QB's we've ever seen.

Quick reminder, the Patriots were 11-5 with Matt Cassell running the show

I agree that Belichick is a great coach. But unless you've played football, it's not easy to be down 2 minutes and have to actually be the one to put together a drive to put them into OT. There's a huge difference between being the one to tell someone what to do and actually being the one to do it. It's too easy to give the credit to Belichick when Tom doesn't have the natural talent, nor the team, to put together a 2 minute drive. To give you some perspective here they don't even have a deep threat (Josh Gordon was their best deep threat). It takes two to tango.

And as a matter of fact Belichick has even said this in his interviews. It all comes down the players on the field. If they can't execute the plays it's all for nothing. He can tell them whatever he wants (his words), but in the end they are the ones executing the plays. The credit goes to the players on the field (again in his words). He can't sit there and play the game for them.

They both did it. And if I had to lean one way I'd lean the way of the guy doing it and not the guy telling him to do it.

Good point. I understand your point. I just feel like QB's excel based on their coaching. Brady is a phenomenal 2 minute QB. I don't view it as it being something exclusive to him. If Mahomes got the ball in OT, Brady would've never seen it. We would've been screaming the praises of Mahomes instead. A lot of this is circumstantial and because has the best coach ever to walk the planet, he succeeds more than the rest.

I disagree with that. Mahomes has never shown me anything in the post season (he's a rookie). And the fact is that most rookies don't - feel free to look up the stats on that. On top of that he didnt score a point in the first half so no, I don't expect to just auto run down the field for a TD. When Brady has a history of doing it. He played a great game but sitting here trying to tell me he would automatically score a TD if he had the ball is just not something I believe in since he's never proven it yet. Mahomes played a great game, though.

Quick question and I know you're biased, but did you watch the 2nd half? NE had no chance on D

I think you're underestimating preparation and focus just a tad, Brady excels in both and he's super clutch

Yeah did you watch the first quarter? Didn't score a point. You're proving my entire point. And now all of a sudden you're telling me he would march down the field for an automatic touchdown when he can't score a point in the first half. NE had the worse team on O and D and they still found a way to win the game.
