Watching Sportscenter just now. What a bunch of babies, even Bree's. Out of the five or six interviews they showed they all cried like babies about the no pass interference call. Only one of the guys man'd up and said it sucks but that stuff happens.

I get that it should have been pass interference and it was at a huge moment in the game and it would have sealed it up for the Saints. But..

- in real time it looks like he got popped but it was tough to tell on the initial angle how early it was, it was a weird looking play as the coverage was right there, had the defender turned he could have picked it. Now when they started showing replays it looked super super obvious. I'm sure the officials could see it on the big screen thinking , oh shit we messed that one up big time.

- in real time at first sight it was possible to think he hit him just as the ball was arriving, something about the angle just looked wierd. I've seen much more obvious PI calls not called then that one.

All that being said. It wasn't like it was 4th down for the Saints and they were down 5 points and that call cost them the game. They were still able to kick a FG.

* their defense could have stopped them and they would have won the game!

* they won the coin toss in OT ! They drive down and get a TD they win the game!

Bad call hurt them for sure but they had plenty of chance to win after that. Sometimes a call really does end the game for a team. Lost some respect for Bree's and crew today.

Can’t let a call override the fact that the Saints choked away a game. They also limped their way into the playoffs and were downward trending since mid season

In all fairness, if they get the call, the Saints run the clock down and the Rams get no chance to tie....first and goal at the six yard line....

But that is football....shit happens.....

By limped in, I don’t mean they barely made it. Just mean they were slowly cooling off after that hot start

I agree. I had three Saints ML parlays with the Saints left and i felt they blew the game in the red zone first quarter getting 3's when all year they were getting TD's. When Drew Brees couldn't throw a 5 yard Fade higher than 6 feet to Thomas in the end zone I knew this was going down to the wire. And when you don't put good teams away you put others in a position to influence the game like the officials. They did this to themselves.

I don't care either way, but I gotta say I don't understand the appeal of Brees. The guy seems as fake as a wooden nickel.

He's great, a HOF'er and all that shit. But something about him is off. I mean, he's not as bad as Nancy Pelosi but something about him I just don't like.

If the refs catch the facemask on Goff, the Rams get the ball 1st and goal instead of kicking a field goal.

Pointless argue if's. Almost every game there are "if's". Best to move on.

Bottom line: Saints love to choke come crunch time two years in a row.

I agree bad calls or no calls are a part of the game but sometimes these games it’s so bad or gets to be so bad it does seem suspicious.

Don't think it was me, I don't bitch about refs barely at all. There are about 150-200 plays a game. Each play has probably 5 chances to throw a flag, thats a lot of calls. Some are bound to get missed. It sucks but the Saints had plenty of chance to win before and after that call. I'm not a Rams fan and didn't have money on them. Just pretty pathetic the way the Saints are acting after the game.

It would be like if there was an angle in the Chiefs game showing the Dee Ford wasn't lined up in the neutral zone. It would have been a bad call, you move on and win the game.

Sorry but you are off on this one. This was not an ordinary miss call that happens throughout a game. This was a blatant miss of 2 penalties on the same play that legitimately cost a team a trip to the Super Bowl. One can say if they did this or that earlier, but in the end if the refs do their job correctly, the Saints milk that clock down and virtually can't lose. Instead, it goes against them and they end up losing.

It is so bad that the head of officiating apologized which says a lot.

The refs who missed this will get reprimanded if not fined.

What casual fans don't realize is after every game, you have to file a detailed report on flags thrown and why. The league also will question you on missed calls where you have to explain yourself & they do dock them for mistakes at times.

This marred the entire game which is a shame.

I agree with you Ladeda (and also your comments Sam and Josh).

You can whine all you want about that one call, but the bottom line is the Saints should have been up substantially at halftime. It was the Rams defense that came up big, holding them to field goals instead of touchdowns. If Brees and the Saints were on their game, those should have been touchdowns (look in the mirror Brees and company). The refs missed a facemask call on Goff also (as Josh mentioned). Is it the penalty's fault that after getting the ball first in OT, Brees threw and interception? NO. Yes, the Saints had a chink in the armor and I mentioned this a little over a month ago and was just poo poo'ed by a bunch of posters.

Suck it up Saints fans. They kept the Rams in the game and in the end it was the reason they lost...not some pass interference penalty.

The Aints did get screwed. None the less they had a chance to either stop the Rams or score in OT. They are chokers. Shouldn't have even been in that situation And Brees is a little bitch. Remmeber when he was whining about retired players from the 60s on asking for a bit more money from the NFL?

Complaining about a blatant call that would've sent your team to the Super Bowl? Why would you do that haha?

One of the best officiating crews in the NFL blew a call that cost the team. Of course they should complain and of course they have the right to be upset. Put yourself in their shoes.

that franchise can use some NFC championship Agony after the Favre bounty crap they pulled in another NFC Championship Game.

I guess they have their Drew Pearson moment forever now, and it does stay forever.

it happens. dont be at home with everything on the line all out to tie or win a game in the final seconds.

The Saints were leading the game 13-0 and 20-10.

The Saints had the lead after the missed call.

The Saints got the ball 1st in OT

The best thing to do if you want to win a championship is not expect the refs to make a call so you win the game.
