May they never find a cure

So I'm reading about the referees cheating for the Patriots, bad calls against the Chiefs, what if the Chiefs won the flip, and the NFL wants the Patriots to win. So I'm asking a simple question, did anyone look at a box score?

Yards; 524 to 290
1st Downs; 36-18
TOP: 44 to 21 (39-21 in regulation)

The Patriots dominated this game and kept the Chief's offense off the field. The only thing they lost was the turnovers (2-0) and penalties (6-4)

The roughing call on Brady? awful, as were the missed picks on the Chiefs leading to their receivers being open by 20 yards in the 4th quarter.

Penalties were 6 for 61 vs 4 for 28. Four penalties on the Patriots resulted in Chiefs first downs (vs 1 going the other way). One penalty on the Patriots, a weak offensive PI ended a Patriots drive.

It was a great game, the Chiefs battled back, the Patriots won the coin flip and did what the Saints were unable to do, score a TD. Brady was clutch, and he and his receivers make great reads and develop a unique chemistry

Brady and Belichick are two of the GOATS and they're on the same team. That's why they win so much.

Preparation, preparation, preparation, nobody gives them anything.

I’ve got the best advice for you Willie. Don’t try.

Don’t even try to convince anyone that the better team won - not even with a box score or a stats comparison. It’s always the calls, or luck, or rigged, or whatever other excuse people want to make.

On a semi-related note you should have heard Rex Ryan earlier on get up. Pretty much just complained about the calls and didn’t give Belichick, Brady or the Patriots one ounce of respect. Just made him look like a washed up salty old man. The entire year all you heard about was how bad the Patriots defense was, or how old and slow they are, and Belichick was able to engineer a complete shutout on Mahomes in the first half or else the Chiefs would have put up 50 points and won the game.

I thought it was a great game to watch. The Chiefs played a great second half - the Chiefs got a good one with Mahomes. Looking forward to the SB.

By the looks of it you’re both Patriots fans.
So my question is can you look at things objectively?
I’m not a fan of either team.
There are picks/holding on every play in the NFL.
The phantom roughing the passer call was such a key penalty at a key point in the game.
The call completely affected the outcome of the game.
The Pats get way more of these calls than other teams.
With that said, the Chiefs were out coached and Bellicheck and Brady are the GOATs.

Wanted KC to win but I agree with you. Thought KC was lucky to keep it that close because NE dominated most of that game especially the first half. In addition to your stats the one that jumped out to me was 13-19 on 3rd down compared to 4-9. KC just couldn’t get them off the field. The better team won in my opinion and I thought NE was getting screwed more than KC. The roughing the passer on KC was bad but they missed offensive PI and the defensive PI on Jackson looked weak.

KC fan here and pissed off with the result but not Patriot derangement syndrome at all.
An idiot lines up in the fucking neutral zone with under 1 minute left and negates a game ending interception.
With the way the Chiefs played first half they probably had no business winning that game.
But it IS the difference between Belichick and Reid.
The Patriots do NOT make boneheaded mistakes like that with a huge game on the line....

Wasn't it like 2nd and 7? I don't know man, seems like the Pats were converting on 3rd down all night. It was a shit call for sure, but game changer?

I thought the block/pick play that went for 7 for the Chiefs was a bigger swing.

For a normal Pats team those stats would have blowout written all over them.

A couple of plays were the difference.

The one that killed me was...
(0:54 - 4th) (Shotgun) T.Brady pass short right intended for R.Gronkowski INTERCEPTED
by C.Ward at KC 30. C.Ward to KC 36 for 6 yards FUMBLES ball out of bounds at KC 40.
PENALTY on KC-D.Ford, Defensive Offside, 5 yards, enforced at KC 34 - No Play.

Chiefs were up by 4 at that point.
It was a good call. Replay showed Ford lined up off sides.
When the Pats won the coin toss in OT I knew the game was over.

It's true, that play was huge. When you look at football games, how often does a missed opportunity like that come back to bite you in the ass? A lot, a real lot, there's always one or more could've should've would've moments

Was it as key as the PI when Kelce fumbled to end the game w receive within 5 yds and fell on his own. By rule the guy brushed Bradys face it was a BS call but he did it and Edleman was mugged on same play so it evened out. There is holding every play but KC benefited from huge PI calls Guys holding Gronks shirt all the way down field and no flag I'm not seeing where refs affected outcome other than flipping heads Did anyone ask Brady if he saw Ford offsides so we can debate whether game would have ended on pick or if it was just a a throw away?

I hear you but why is it that it's my ass that get bitten disproportionately?
You'd think after a while it would even out but noooooooooo!

I've thrown these exact stats, and people STILL say that "KC was the better team."

What a joke.

You call that game a "curb stomp" and "bitch slap". Wasn't over until the last minute and Brady through for a SB record 505 yards, with 3 TD's and a RTG of 115

Eagles won, that's what matters most, but that was neither a curb stomping or a bitch slap, not by my definition of those expressions anyhow
