Interesting "angle" on the non-PI call.

I find it interesting, that all of the talking heads are essentially saying the same thing. Showing the one angle of the play in slo-mo, and opining in unison what a terrible call it was.........and even worse, its the only reason the rams won.

There are many angles of the play, and in some, in real game speed it is much less obvious, definitely in the arguable arena. I watched it at speed a handful of times and add the fact the pass was poorly thrown, behind the receiver, and believe me its hardly a fireable offense. IMHO

I may be mistaken, but in this game, if not most of the post season, its been much like the NBA playoffs, in that the refs tend to "LET THEM PLAY." (unless it involves Tom Brady). If you feel it was penalty.....OK. But then so was the face mask grab of Goff a few minutes early. Point is, ref's are human, and they make mistakes. Just like the Sean Peyton, for his botching the series of plays inside the ram 20.

The players are bigger, faster and with tv having 20 cameras or whatever, its not realistic to expect perfection from the refs, not even if you bump the crew size from 7 to 10. Its time to go the way of the CFL and allow the coaches 1 ref challenge a game and 2 in the post season. Its just time.

Lastly, time to give the rams a little love.

Agreed, saints lost game in the 1st q when they didn’t put the rams away. Scored 13 when it should have at least been 17 and then scored a grand total of 10 points the rest of the way. Bree’s arm got worn out latter part of the yr and the saints Super Bowl aspirations went down with it

Nice to see the 2 Rams fans that are out there show up. Real simple though. It was pass interference. Take any fucking angle you want. It was a catchable ball, and the receiver was clobbered before it got there. And for safe measure, the DB went helmet to helmet. And for even further safe measure, the f-cking D back himself admitted it was PI while laughing about it with a reporter.

So.....shove your angle BS straight up your ass. And leave it there for a bit.

Oh yeah. One more thing I forgot. The Head of Officiating in the NFL also disagrees with your “angle” theory. As he has already stated that the refs blew the call. However, it is impressive nonetheless, how you have managed to angle your head in such a way as to get it into your ass WHILE having sex with your mother. Kudos.

Yep. If you don't want to be left whining about the officiating, put the ball in the endzone after Goff gift wraps you a turnover.

Instead, they're running option plays with Hill in the redzone.

I had it as a 3pt game either way. Saints were not running away with it and I had it with Zeurline missed FG to to tie or win. So I was close. In situations like this where previously a team is blown out away and then plays away during playoffs? The dog hits at a high rate. They insured the game would be tight. Brees couldn't put away after the 1st qtr is bullshit. It was never intended to run away with it. The whole intent was to keep it close. They did. to the wire and into OT. NFL needed Rams in SB, so they did what they had to do. Plain and simple. If youre working for the NFL? Which every coach, player and ref do; it's a job. If your boss tells you to do something? You do it. However in light of the viewers, it should've been done a little more inconspicuous? Someone was told not to throw the flag. And that D-Back KNEW EXACTLY what he was doing. No other time does he maul a receiver before the ball gets there. He knew the flag wouldn't get thrown...

There were several no calls on the Aints. The only reason peeps can't shut up about the interference non call is because it happened near the end of the game

What are you smoking? That blatant non call would be called in the first minute of the game......doesn't matter what part of the game it was, that helmet to helmet.....that's PI.......you can call holding on every down, but don't get it twisted with a blatant targeting/PI penalty.

There were 6 non calls against the Aints... that's what I'm smoking... aaaaaand 2 obvious facemask calls. Bottom line, Aints had a chance to win in overtime and they choked.

let’s get this straight. The Saints didn’t choke. The refs insured Rams would win. It doesn’t matter what Saints would’ve done. They were never winning this game. That was shown to you by that call. Had it not been a non call PI, and Lewis would’ve caught It? A holding call would’ve been called to stop the advancement. Saints wouldn’t have a choice but to turn it over for Rams to tie the game. And in OT, they didn’t do shit cause they knew it wouldvtve gone their way. Refs showed you that it was impossible Saints would win. Otherwise they’d have thrown the flag. Payton barely put up a fight over it. That’s not exactly typical of ANY head coach to just “move on....

not or mention, receiver didn’t even put up an argument. I mean really? Nothing? Just play. They KNEW the fix was in. You can’t win when the fix is against you. Not even Brady who lost to the shitty fucking miami team.

I'm about to agree with LTKA...except for the choking part.

LTKA is absolutely correct about the missed calls.

If the face mask is called, Rams probably go up 24-20. That SIGNIFICANTLY alters the course of action from that point forward.

Yes, in a vacuum that PI cost them the game. But that missed face mask call, and it was 100% a penalty, was also missed.

There was no fix. I'm not about to say leagues don't influence games and would prefer certain matchups. Look no further than the NBA for proof of that. But if the fix was in how did they miss that face mask that would have helped the team that..allegedly...had the fix in FOR them??

Because they wanted Zeurline winning it. I called before game he was deciding factor in the game. This was 2009 nfccg all over again with a kicker to win

Interesting fact: Rams fans were protesting Vinovich as head ref because he throws the least amount of flags and this was a downside to the Rams in previous games with him officiating. They definitely warned everyone. Yeah it was PI, but there were multiple face masks and other calls not called on the Saints. It's the way this officiating crew operates. They let them play. Live with it.
