July 14, 2002. Had the Yanks as a big favorite. Had a three run lead in the ninth. Thought it was over.

Mo gives up a slam. I'm thinking there were two outs, maybe even two strikes.

Took a long time to get over that one.

I totally agree. If a guy like Me is great, then bring him in whenever most needed in the game . When the other team has 2-3 runners on base with 0-1 puts and the starter or lesser reliever is in a major jam and the other team is likely to blow the game wide open !
Any competent major league pitcher should be able to pitch the ninth inning with a 2-run lead and manage to not give up more than one run and grab the stupid save.
Use the pitching staff as a staff
I like the new concept of an opener being used occasionally.
