Actually its a good move for Trump. The shutdown he claimed he would be "Proud" to own is over.... now in 3 weeks, if the Democrats wont give him a small amount of money for a wall, then he can say he is negotiating and trying to get things done, and Democrats own the next shutdown

I would agree if nothing is done after the 3 weeks is here , but Trump has flipped the script on the dems now..

Aren't crossings on the southern border at an all-time low? I'm 100% for border security and tougher immigration laws, but I think it can be done better a physical barrier that can be easily scaled, dug under, or flown over.

I guess Trump should have taken the deal when Schumer offered him $25 Billion (with a B) for a wall in return for making DACA permanent. Missed opportunity.

I would say he had his ass handed to him if it wasnt temporary.... but, being only a temporary opening for only 3 weeks, leaves the Dems in the spotlight, since Trump gave a "good faith" gesture to reopen while they continued to negotiate a deal.
