Hey Clover, you’re a smart dude and appreciate the hard work and you’ll kill me for this but:

sec propaganda already? 2010-2018 NCAAF agenda built on faulty premise Bama has been goat (which occasionally hasn’t had some truth to it but not nearly as much as espn would have you think since their bankroll is tied to propping up its bed partner). Anyway, last year was perfect example. Bama was “so great” to those who don’t understand football. Their offense was phenomenal until Tua got hurt but their d was maybe top 20 last year—especially secondary. Anyway, because they were anointed the greatest and so many many lazy ignorant people just parrot this, it becomes “fact.” The. College football is dominated by erroneous opinions. so we have the same issue we have had since bcs era. The sec automatically gets 7-10 teams in top 20 and they don’t drop when they lose to each other. Last year, uga was deemed 2nd best team and deserved shot in playoff bc they hung close 2 Bama (the best team ever—WRONG). Lsu had to be good too bc they beat Uga, etc. It’s an utter joke. Lasts year, Bama was pretty good. Ohio st was ok. Clemson was the best team by far. But their shitty conference affected everyone’s opinion. Sports are determined by results, not opinions. Experts opinions are a joke. Here, espn, anywhere. Clemson (“weak” acc) owns sec the last 5 years. pansy big 12 owned sec in bowl season last year. Yet even while the games are played, excuses are made for sec. they don’t want to play there. They don’t care. They are concentrating on nfl. They have injuries. Those excuses apply to everyone. The sec dominant conference rhetoric is a joke. No credibility. There are 3-4 great teams spread out among conferences. Get out of here with sec bull crap. Instead we’ll go right back to it. The sec will have 5-10 teams in top 15 ensuring the same joke of a system we have had for 10 years. The sec never loses a game they care about. Everyone else sucks. Gimme a break. Uga is about to overtake Bama. Then we will have Ohio st, clemson, Uga, Texas, etc. they will be the best teams. The sec garbage teams (10/11 out of 14) will live vicariously through Uga or Bama. Meanwhile they won’t care about the shitty teams. Oh well. Keep it going until espn is finally uncovered for their garbage agenda like the political channels.

Meanwhile, those who know football will watch and understand the sec lacks in coaching and qbs and is way overrated except Bama and Uga. Have fun gettin whipped by Clemson, Texas, Virginia, barely beating Ucf without their qb (or losing to them when they had their qb-the team that then beat Uga and Bama). Anyway...my annual point is made. Sec has one or two good teams per year like other conferences. The rest are mediocre at best. But hey you have espn money and you can be the only conference/division in all of sports that roots for their rivals because you have no success of your own)!

You too are a "Smart Dude" jwhite and your input to this Forum is always appreciated by most of us.

I want to dig a little deeper into your casting teams other than the top two in conferences into mediocrity. When teams (in a conferences) butt heads you will end up with winners and losers (no more tie games) with two teams end up being in the "top two" every year.....in all conferences, the standings prove this out. Based on your premise, teams that are 3rd, 4th or 5th are mediocre in their conference......fair enough, but when you start comparing the 3rd to say the 6th or 7th place teams to other teams in different conference's of the same standing we enter into the "age old debate", which is the better conference. I dare say. that is an argument no on can win.

jwhite, Clemson is the 2018 true National Champions. The Tigers beat Alabama soundly as I have
stated in several different post. Bama was outplayed and outcoached with the results showing just
that.

Now, do I think the ACC is a better conference than the SEC...Nope!

Per NCAA, only Oklahoma, Nebraska, Georgia, Utah and Michigan finished 100%-plus
in capacity (butts in the seats) in 2018. In 2017, those schools were Ohio State, Penn
State, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Utah, Navy and Old
Dominion.

Big Ten schools had 16 of the 17 highest football attendances in 2018. Texas A&M was
next at number 18.

Was it tickets sold or butts in the seats?

There was NO way that UGA fans went out of their way to watch the UMASS game in November

Brian Kelly.....wtf did he do?

He coaches at NOTRE DAME.

If he had coached at Washington State, Army, Fresno State, Utah State or
any of the other schools that had great seasons, he wouldn't have won.

Murray had as many attempts as Haskins did completions and was less than 500 yards difference.

That is unbelievable

I would say Venables is well worth the money

He has received a lot of interest as a potential head coach but seems to like his
situation at Clemson. He's certainly well paid and doesn't have all the headaches
of someone responsible for the entire program.

Good defensive coordinators are making a ton of money these days. Some not
so good DCs are making a lot of money.
