My opinion is that while the lady did not handle the situation properly the ginormous obese people smothering the middle seat were also in the wrong. They should be required to buy multiple tickets as you stated.
And the lady in the middle should have handled this much differently and quietly

Make those fat fcks buy 3 seats. This is a no brainer and while I’m at it enough with the comfort animals. If you can’t pull your sht together for a few hours and fly on a plane by yourself stay the Fck home.

Its not right, having said that... the passengers have ZERO RIGHTS... aurlines since 911 can shit allll over passengers... a godam shame, as seats have been shrunk twice since 911!!

As I get ready to board a flight (with a middle seat) I pondered how would I handle a situation like this??
The woman was a C for sure, or at least how she acted so frigging entitled.
I do wonder what would have been the reaction of the two people next to her if she simply asked to switch seats so THEY could sit next to each other?? Why not right?
They don't seam to have a problem squeezing out the middle person, they shouldn't have had a problem sitting next to each other.
Just a thought, hope I'm not in that position.

I would be bummed out too if i paid for a seat and seated between to big passengers affecting my comfort but i wouldn't have insulted them. I would have politely asked to move to the outside seat or see if there was another seat for me. In thise case there was other seats and instead of politely moving she insulted them.
I also wouldn't jump to any conclusion and pick a side here. We only see the point of view from the moment the big lady started rolling the camera...often in these cases, interactions happens before that builds up to that moment. We don't know what was said between them before the video started rolling. She called them fat pigs at the end...that shows hate possibly brewing from earlier interaction.
If some liberal news channel is reporting as one sided incident, always investigate further instead of being a sheep and eating what they are feeding.
