Either the Rams were overwhelmed and came out flat or Belichik is a genius and McVay is right. Often, people say that coaching is a small part of the game but this guy continues to win with Brady, regardless of the defense or who Brady has to throw to. The Pats defense is NOT great, not even all that good if you base it on the year's performance. So how did they hold the Rams to 3 points? The Bears held them to 6 points but clearly have a much better defense than the Patriots, lets be frank. Scheming and game plan by the head coach is what won this game.

  1. NE defense is very underrated, is pretty good, the DBs are top notch, it matched up well against the Rams who have no physical receivers
  2. The Rams without Gurley are not nearly what they were earlier in the year, Gurley has been dinged (knee) for two months. Gurley is the best all around RB in the NFL, speed, power, vision...
  3. Belicheat with 2 weeks to prepare will figure out exactly what needs to be done, he decided to harass Goff, it worked
  4. NE was on AT, that is an advantage vs. Rams used to natural turf, it matters
  5. NE held the ball to keep Rams O off the field, > 150 RY, look at TOP and first downs 2:1 if you take out last Rams 50 yards at end of game
  6. Strange game, both teams had a few chances to score but literally blew it, it easily could have been 24-13 or something
