For me, it's more about what you enjoy. I get bored with tournaments, and don't like playing poker for long periods. I really like being able to play online for
30 min to an hour at a time and then quit.

I can sit st a 1/3 table for 30-45min, but then lap the casino and come back. Never played a tourney.

I enjoy poker like once a year with friends but have tried years back both online and in a casino and just don't have the patience (for the game or the people). Thinking about a play for 4 minutes on a $5.00 reraise or just being an idiot overall, not for me. It's a stereotype for sure but some of the bottom of the barrel human beings in the games I've played, high limit or low limit. Seem the same for me.

Online I get too distracted and bored.

Which one to build your bankroll?
Whichever one you can win at.
If you can win at both play both.
If you can't win at either, play both at micro limits while you hone your game.

Either way in time it will become obvious which one you are better at. That's where you should spend your time.
