I have a few times in life, it really makes your day and restores your faith in humanity, like most people are actually good people not looking to fuck you over unless totally desperate.

The most notable such incident happened to me in the least likely place you could imagine

I'll remember this till the day I die.

Cue up the Western hotel on Fremont Street about a block East of the El Cortez, same ownetship, kind of the EC light
The place was totally for got locals with Penny slots, dollar beers , dollar blackjack, the rawest BJ dealers you'd ever see in your life , frequently Asian females that did not speak understandable English, and had no clue as to count a hand containing an ace . They had one pit with maybe 6 tables, pit bosses were almost as raw as dealers, mostly bummy locals playing $1/ hand just trying to break even and suck down a few free draft beers
If Walmart ever ran a casino,.it was would have been the Western, a fun joint with a total local flavor, it could pass as a biker bar sort of joint.

The $1- 500 BJ limit was hilarious. I'd be drunk off my (__*__) and just fucking around counting cards not even trying to win or seriously counting just small shit like starting at $2 and maybe dropping to $1 or pushing it to $10, maybe even going 2 hands, still just toying with them and not even caring about winning or losing, just really relaxing
This joint was so tight the cashier's cage would call the pit ( which was all of 50 feet away ), if you cashed in just one lousy green chip, the place was just so old Vegas , it became .addictive, is this actually real ?

They actually had a handwritten sign at the cashier's cage stating that you had to buy a full roll of pennies.

Well one night I'm just screwing around on the BJ table, not playing to win because you can't beat them for real money, it's Just too easy and they have no tolerance for a winner counting or not

The conclusion since I set it up so we'll

One night ( I think it was nighttime, almost certainly was. I'm just fucking around playing a very beatable game of BJ , that I can't play for real money at my favorite dive
.

It's a day or two before Christmas in either 1992 or 1993. I'm pretty sure those tables had 7 spots, full table, kind of ordinary and uneventful.

Out of nowhere this one dude pulls out a wad of $100 bills, had to 30 k easily
He proceeds to adding $100 to the best of the other 6 players, all the.$1- 5 players typical of the joint.

So if the player wins they now have $200, I lost, he put everybody that lost that to another hand, and.continued until all 6 players got paid , and then promptly left. So basically everybody got a $200 gift from a total stranger.

$200 In 1992 dollars would equate to nearly $400 now, pretty generous to gift that kind of money to basically low life sort of bums at a total one star hotel/ semi- casino / dive bar.

I'll say this much, I have enough street smarts to pull out a 30k wad at a place like that. Roughly 10th and Fremont ain't a safe area.

How much do you need to have to do something like that? , More importantly do it on a safer manner

That is my best true story that is just about unbelievable. Up

Took my son to Disney in 2017

Checked into animal kingdom lodge and the bellhop escorted us to the room. My son ran out onto the balcony to look at the animals and fell. He slammed his head pretty hard into the concrete and had a hell of a bump. The bellhop left.

Few minutes later the manager of the hotel knocks on our door and gives my son a big stuffed lion because he hurt his head. Made our day and I'll always remember that

The Western...what a place...I can tell dozens of stores but here is the best....I flew in from the east coast one morning staying at the El Cortez. My first stop was the Western....I sit at the bar and get a $1 Corona...A young lady is s few seats away and we make eye contact...I offer her a drink and she moves to the seat next to me....After about 5 minutes or random chatter she asks if I had a room. Then she says she is not a hooker but she just got out of county lock up and was very horny...At the conclusion I offered her some cash and she looked at me as if I insulted her...She said "I do not want your money I just needed to get laid"...Talk about a random act of kindness...

Received tons of outreach and gifts from people after my 2015, bypass.

Once actually received a $ 2,500 tip from a client (no, this never happens)

I paid for a friend's utility and cable bill after everything was shut off without even telling him, about $ 1,700. He's a tradesman, he worked it off

And I talk to people all the time answering their questions even when they're not my client, even during tax season. I never act like my shit don't stink.

I keep working for people even when they owe me money, my wife thinks I'm an asshole but I trust they'll eventually pay (some don't)

I can totally relate to this. I’m in trade business and I have so many dead beats I have to chase down to get payed. This one in particular owes me 20k.the guy is loaded has pool with 80 ft negative edge. Thinks everyone in his life is there to serve him. Just read he was arrested for driving with no
registration and inspection and possession of a controlled substance. Karma is a bitch could not happen to a bigger piece of shit.

I have had people buy my order of coffee or food in a drive thru before. The first time it happened to me the lady told me you are the 12th car in a row where the person in front of you paid for the person behind them.
I was stunned and shocked I did not even think to keep the chain of kindness going. Then felt bad later for breaking it.

I have paid for quite a few dinners for service members and police officers. If we are out to eat and I see them at the restaurant I pay their check.

Just paid for a couple cops subway sandwiches yesterday that were behind me in line. I get it that's its only a few bucks but I did it out of respect so they know some of us still appreciate them
