He’s so stupid and what he was doing was so stupid guys. 80 million dollars of stupidity without having to play one more football game. Very stupid.

just reading the article. seems like somewhere in the 60 to 80 million dollars.
pretty sure there was collusion so he had a case but we will see who he really is now i suppose.
says he cares about the community, 80 million can go a long way

Lets see how many people own up in here. Because I will be going through enflameos past created threads to see who the idiots are.

Haha Mob, c'mon man

After reading this thread, I had to go search for something I haven't heard about. This is what I learned, both sides agreed to settle and neither side can talk about the case.

Your $ 80 million citation was pulled out of someone's ass, I'm sure they cited "unnamed reliable sources". They all cite the same sources, and those unnamed sources are rarely right.

They settled for something, that's what happens in these cases much more often than not. I'd wager good money it's no where near $ 80 million dollars. That dawq just don't hunt

I’ve always maintained while I don’t agree with his protest, I respect his right to do it. I’ve also always maintained that if you’re a business, aligning with Kaep is a bad move right now.

While the terms of the settlement were not revealed, and the resolution is subject to a confidentiality agreement, NFL columnist Mike Freeman reported that "team officials are speculating to me [that] the NFL paid Kaepernick in the $60 million to $80 million range."

When I read statements like that, I laugh, seriously, and nobody can cite such a weak statement as evidence for anything

I read 60-80 million estimated. It’s small potatoes to nfl owners. Eric Reid I am sure will get a piece

Yes. They are estimates. The exact amount is going to be undisclosed

You can believe that estimate by an unnamed source my friend, I don't

And of course he had a case. All he had to do was show Nathan Petermans career stats in the NFL. But I am sure he had way more than we think. Which is why he wasn’t saying anything publicly. Smart guy. LolZ

This is Enfuego BTW. Hache sometimes slips with his finger and puts me on post review when he didn’t intend to.

I don’t believe everything I read either. But that’s a big range of estimation to be incorrect about. I’m not saying he is going to take home 60-80 M. I am sure that goes not just to him. But im saying that’s what the settlement was and if it wasn’t for him, it would never exist. So he won.

I was involved in a two million dollar lawsuit almost 30 years ago. My firm and I were the defendants, a large NYC law firm was representing a bank that was defrauded by one of our clients.

There was a lot of activity circling around us, files were exchanged, nasty threats were made. At the end of the day, the bank had no case against us, none. They made a loan based on their own internal audit team and their numbers were not even close to the numbers on our audited financial statements from just 8 months earlier, so there was no reliance on us which destroyed their case.

Our malpractice insurance company still offered $ 100,000 to settle the case, because they said it would cost at least $ 50,000 to depose everyone. The bank accepted, so we settled for $ 100,000 when we thought we would win for sure

That's how the legal process works, that's how and why settlements are reached
