Is this an example of a book (5Times) free-rolling a player? (Borderline ridiculous)

I usually side with the book on their rulings b/c they are reasonable and logical, but this one is seems totally ridiculous. The "UP" in South Carolina UPstate was missing so they cancelled the wager b/c it said South Carolina State.

Line wasn't wrong, teams weren't wrong.... If it had lost, they likely would've said tough shit, it's a loss. In fact, I think I've had wagers in the past where something similar happened and they said "it was a loss anyways" or something to that effect.

Been a fan of this book for a long time, but I think this ruling is quite off.

What do you think?

The only reason I don't agree with you is because I have to believe a reputable book would grade the same game the same way.

You are implying they cancelled the losers and graded the winners as cancelled. I think either both sides cancelled or both sides graded.

That's how I feel it goes for reputable books. But if I'm wrong it wouldn't be the first time.

Well, I'm not implying they cancelled my under and let the over bettors take the loss. I would imagine they cancelled it across the board... which would be the right move if the premise of the wager being mislabeled were to be deemed correct.

I mean, it wasn't like it was Lakers vs. Jets ... instead of Lakers vs. Knicks. They just didn't put the "Up" in there. IMO, they should've let all wagers stand.

Irrelevant now as it already set me on tilt as I thought I had some winners lined up and was in a good position.

Man, this book is pissing me off.

Have a streak of 4 in a row.... one more in a row and it's a Bonus Play... and it's erased my history and saying to create a screen name.

Wtf?

It was after the game.

It is what it is so I've moved on. But the tilt got me and there you have it.

On a side note, I asked on Monday why my wagers weren't graded.... and she said on Monday wagers don't graded until 12pm EST or some shit like that. I've played here since before the Earth existed so that was a new one to me. "How long has that been the case?" I said. She replied, "Oh, it's always been like that."

I asked her to repeat it and she said it again. Not that it makes any difference but I believe her statement to be inaccurate.

Anyways, just another day in the gambling world.

The opponent was the same, so cancelling the wager seems shady to me. And the 'thanks for unstanding' part seems shady also.

The support people have always been nice. Used to be this one lady there... really nice. She was great. Forgot her name. I always used to tell her she was awesome. Then one day she disappeared.

She probably took my picks and faded them and became rich.

In defense of the book it does sound like a very weird thing to be wagering on, a school I never heard of, women's collegiate basketball apparently and a total to top it off, unless I'm missing something. I'd have a hard time even finding a final score for such a game. I almost always give the punter great leeway in any such dispute. 5D is not above pulling some shady stuff out of their hindquarters.
I do have to question why someone would wager on such an obscure event and surprised there is even a line on it. Prove your case better, IMO ! I've been personally screwed and stiffed by so many offshore books that I no longer use any of them, sure I abused them as well by playing the bonus angles and betting correlated parlays when that was possible

Prove my case better?

Ha ha. Wtf. I have nothing to prove.

If the Los Angeles Dodgers play the San Diego Padres ... and the ticket says "Diego Padres" do you then cancel the wager? Come on.

Women's NCAA is on ESPN television and this game was broadcast on ESPN. The score is posted on ESPN.com and Women's NCAA is one of their top scoreboard.... appearing in the primary list in the dropdown.

If an ATP 250 event is being played in India as opposed to a Grand Slam, does it cancel out the wager? Come on.

This was an easy game to bet on. They routinely had scoring quarters of under 10 points per quarter and sometimes scored in the 40's and low 50's. Went under by a mile.

I'm fine with the "cancel" but I still believe it should've been a win. But it is what it is.

I'm just saying it is still not on the level of an NFL, MLB,nba type of game and agree books use shady tactics at times, you have proved it well enough for me, unfortunately I can't force Tony to pay you.

Is that all you got?

It's funny b/c you don't know anything about the issue. You're like a moron that sees Guaido and goes, "He's here to save Venezuela"

There's still time for you to educate yourself on these things. Until then, keep thinking you're a sophisticated redneck who "unnerstands poly-ticks".

If it’s helps, your Padres example isn’t really the best analogy. There is a South Carolina Upstate team and a South Carolina State team, so this is more like cancelling Padres vs Dodgers when it should have been Padres vs Angels. The teams were wrong.
