Kansas is considered by most as the worst major-conference football program in
college football. Former LSU coach Les Miles gave up money from LSU to tackle
this difficult situation. Consider that Kansas brought in less than $4 million in foot-
ball ticket revenue in 2018, while the men's basketball team made roughly 16 million.
To say there's a lack of interest in the football program is an understatement.

Can Mr. Les turn the program around after two years away from football. Probably
not but I'm pulling for him. Welcome your thoughts...…………..

Nope.
Not enough material there, and he will not be able to get top southern talent to go to the f'ing cold bare state of Kansas fast enough.
Not rooting against him but it was a bad move for both parties IMO.

You may be right about getting players. 247Sports has Kansas rated #65 in recruiting this year.
Not what Les is use to at LSU.

One thing going for Miles is a new indoor practice facility that should be ready for spring practice.
Before the new facility, Kansas had two outdoor practice fields covered with artificial turf.

It seems like yesterday Kansas 12-1, and winning the Orange Bowl. Where does the time go?

Oh for the Mark Mangino days, lol ... I think Miles can get KU going to a degree ... has that charisma and is funny in those Dos Equis commercials which believe it or not I think makes him appealing to the college kids he will be recruiting ... a real guy who seems believeable and has the street cred of a national championship ... nowhere to go but up for Kansas football, hopefully he will stay around for awhile if has any kind of success ...

If he can build a D, they will have a chance in the big 12. Not a top team, but could hold their own. My opinion of course.

Miles has to recruit better players to Kansas or he will wind up like the previous
two coaches. Charlie Weis was 7-29 and David Beaty tapped out at 6-42. Going
into the 2018 season, Beaty had 19 starters returning and finished 3-9 which tells
me either he and staff were terrible or he just didn't have good enough players
to win. Either way it was his responsibility and now he's gone. Enter Miles and
his first recruiting class was not very good...at least on paper. Looking at the 2019
schedule, I can't see more than three wins and I'm not sure where the third win
comes from. Lester has some building to do and it ain't going to be easy.

He should have stayed down south, he could lure top kids to a program down there, but again, no way he gets 4*-5* talent that he got at LSU to go to goddam Kansas in this situation. Even most solid 3*'s will be reluctant.
They will wonder, to boot, if he will stay there long, Miles is old, does not need the money, why go up there to develop a program, 3-9 first year, 4-8 or even 5-7 second, then he bolts and you are stuck as a player, there goes the recruits for year three, program goes downhill for another new coach.
Bad outcome awaits.

Similar to Bill Synder? He made a living off JUCOs.....perhaps Les does the same?

Over the last five years, Kansas has signed the most JUCO players of any Power 5 team. Obviously, they are
not signing the best JUCO players. Quality over quaintly should maybe be considered by Miles.

AND the policies at LSU were about the most lenient in the land... "student athletes"?

Heh, learn what you're talking about before you say something stupid. LSU has one of the most stringent compliance departments in the SEC.
