Read more about it. Apparently the schedule got off, and they wanted H/A in rotation. They would have to play in Athens 2 straight years to get back on schedule with Bama rotation. Auburn got a HH with UGA a few years back, and it screwed up for Barn. Now they don't wanna go AA to Athens to get back on schedule.
They have always been a bunch of pussies.
Not sure why you are calling Auburn a bunch of pussies - you started this thread and the only one crying like a little girl.
A little background to your post. Which, by the way, is inaccurate.
Auburn does not have the option of playing back to back games in Athens. The SEC requires every team play 4 home and 4 away games. Those requirements would not be met under that scenario. Since schedules will not be addressed again till 2026, schools are locked in to who plays where until then. Doesn't mean games can't be scheduled to different dates - just can't be rescheduled to different locations without SEC approval.
This whole mess started when Mo and Texas A&M were added to the conference in 2012. Ga was told by the SEC Office at that time they would play Auburn in Auburn two years in a row. That allowed Mo and A&M to comply with the SEC requirement of having 4 home and 4 away games. It also meant Auburn would be stuck playing bama and Ga on the road every other year.
While Auburn had wanted to move the Ga game earlier in the season for decades, Auburn playing bama and Ga on the road on like years is a much bigger problem.
It may not seem like a problem, but from an AU perspective it is huge. First off, it directly influence season ticket sales. Having both those teams off the home schedule make season ticket book sales much more difficult.
