The game will be played at the Citrus Bowl (or whatever that stadium is called) in Orlando.

Should be a fun game to watch in Week "0"

August 24th..... smack-dab in the middle of Summer......... soon opening game kick-offs will begin to appear in the middle of or even the early part of August to get these soon to be 14 and 15 game schedules in before the play-offs............So much for football being the "Fall Sport".

I hope this August 24th game will be played at night..........be sure to bring your umbrella's along.......I like your week "zero" designation.........

The teams wont even be ready to play that early. It is going to be hot as balls in Orlando. I will be there but I dont like moving it up a week.

By moving that game up, is it screwing up your Labor Day weekend plans?

I ask b/c i have a lot of canes and gator fans going to the game and a bunch of them had "Labor Day weekend in Orlando" plans.

Hopefully the game is a 730 start or later as it will be hot as balls so at least let the sun go down. The humidity is going to SUCK. If any team from the north was playing in this game, they'd be DONE by the 2nd half

Yeah, the weather is going to be rough for the players and folks at the game, but I will sure as hell enjoy watching it on TV out here in Dallas.

Game was officially announced last night. Kickoff is either 7pm or 730pm (it’s announced but can’t remember)

the gamblers and college football fans fans will be happy to watch game with 2 top 25 teams 1 week earlier.

If if I had to take a guess, I would say 65-70% of the fans will be gators fans

No doubt about it, there will be a lot of Gator fans at the game, they travel well, especially in-State (Tallahassee, Tampa, Jacksonville, Miami and Orlando).

If I could get back to the significance of the game: Sport fans have to give the University of Central Florida's athletics a lot of credit, their football program is currently playing top-25 level ball and now, their basketball program has reached the same level (top 25) and is certain to get a tournament bid after their big win against a very good Cincinnati Bearcat team last night...............Not too bad for a former small technical college (Florida Tech) that was tucked away in a small orange grove in East Orange County (Orlando) Florida before it became the University of Central Florida (UCF) back in 1977, nobody back then could have dreamed their football team which had just been formed back then, would be playing the Florida Gators 42 years later.

Thanks for the UCF Love, Mack!!

The gators are playing the hurricanes in Orlando, not UCF

I would love to see a home and home with UCF and the gators (that was a crazy argument in the "southeast media" about 2 months ago)

Sorry for the "mis-fire"of the teams playing.......a "senior moment"....Ha..... although I do believe a Florida/UCF game will be in the making someday.

No, I have not had a chance to visit the Oviedo/East Orange County area of Florida during the past 10-15 plus years, I can only imagine the growth that has occurred but, I remember those "orange groves" that occupied the area during the early 1970's vividly...... "Orange County".

By the way, UCF is a great school academically and one of the largest in the Nation (enrollment) , that is harder for me to believe than its rapid accent to big-time sports teams..........In such a short time.....

That could be the issue with a H and H. I dont know what other venues that could hold a larger crowd in Orlando.

"Camping World" Stadium, Orlando Florida, home of the Citrus Bowl seats 65,000........That could probably work.

Ohio State transfer Tate Martell is eligible to play for the Canes in 2019.

Canes have a 5 star qb now. QB was their biggest weakness last season.
