Something tells me the happiest person today are the people at ESPN who now dont have to pay his contract for being a horrible broadcaster

Huge Witten fan, glad to see him back! Not saying he will still have a lot left in the tank, but just like how he plays and carries himself.

i thought he was terrible on mnf but he got a great booth job right after retiring from the game. i understand if he wanted to still play football but he wont get another broadcasting job as good as he had with mnf. if he wanted a good post career job in broadcasting he really passed up one of the best jobs in the industry.

Witten was over his head as a broadcaster but as an NFL player...he was pretty damn good.
He needs just 13 catches to move into the top 5 receivers in NFL history and ranks second
for tight ends. He finished 2017 with 63 catches but will turn 37 years old in May. How much
is left in the tank we shall see.

He holds two impressive NFL records. One, most consecutive games played by a TE (243) and
most receptions in a game by a TE (18). Overall, he has 1,152 catches for 12,448 yards and
68 touchdowns. His one year contract calls for 'limited' snaps. Not bad for $3.5 million salary
that can rise to $5.0 million with incentives and gives him a chance to become the No. 1 TE in
NFL history.

In terms of how good he was, he's not even close to top 10 in NFL history. He just played forever and is going to have a top 10 career in terms of statistical accumulation.

No one is telling their grandkids they saw Jason Witten play.

Weird question. Will he make the Hall of Fame? If not, he'd 100% be a finalist, right?

Oh, he's a lock to make it. His #'s can't be denied.

Sometimes very good players just play forever and become legends.

Both of my granddaughters (age 4 and 2) have Witten jerseys

People who watched MNF without sound are very happy too. Let's get McFarland to go back to the Bucs and we may be able to unmute.
