I have heard that stem cell transplant has had some success on certain diseases, I wonder if this has any chance?

damn, pancreatic is brutal. A tiny organ well hidden; difficult to diagnose early as no signs/symptoms. Some get lucky with an early diagnosis as part of an investigation elsewhere in the body and numbers dont jive. Stage IV for me? stop all, immediate change of plans. To California ....... Spyglass and Pebble Beach. Then to Florida, TPC at Sawgrass........then across the pond we go...... Scotland. Royal Troon, Muirfield and The Old Course , St Andrews

Very sad. Cancer is so fucking scary because you have zero control over whether or not you or a loved one gets it. Just a game of Russian roulette

You have plenty of control

I wouldn't say plenty, but you can drastically improve your odds if you don't smoke, drink, and eat healthy. But even if you do all those things some cancers are like getting struck by lightning.
