Here are the 12 Republicans who supported the effort to terminate the national emergency declaration:

Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, he retiring.
Sen. Roy Blunt of Missouri
Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, no surprise there.
Sen. Mike Lee of Utah, surprise there.
Sen. Jerry Moran of Kansas
Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, another no surprise.
Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky
Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio
Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah, another no surprise.
Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida
Sen. Patrick J. Toomey of Pennsylvania
Sen. Roger Wicker of Mississippi

All of the Senator used the same excuse, it would set a “dangerous precedent” and “opens the door for
future presidents to implement just about any policy they want.”

That sounds good but what makes any of them think a Democratic president wouldn't do it anyway.

Trump vetos RINOS chastise...

“Never before has a president asked for funding, Congress has not provided it and the president then
has used the National Emergencies Act of 1976 to spend the money anyway,” Senator Lamar Alexander,
Republican of Tennessee, said after the vote on Thursday. Senator Jerry Moran, Republican of Kansas,
said he thought Mr. Trump’s declaration was unconstitutional.

However AG Barr said that the president’s emergency order was “clearly authorized under the law” and
“solidly grounded in law."

That's some pretty fake outrage. At least Trump asked, Obama didn't even bother.

The "dangerous precedent" argument is a total cop out. Border security is the federal government's constitutional responsibility whereas the other nonsense Democrats cook up is not.

No one ever accused a RINO of having a set. They're just weak.

i would hardly call Paul a RINO. he was transparent about his vote and nobody can say that they don't understand his reasons for voting against the declaration. Just because you're part of the Republican party doesn't mean you have to disavow your true Libertarian mindset. And really there shouldn't be a POTUS spending declaration that wasn't agreed to by Congress. I like Paul's idea to put a green card fee to the $1M green cards approved each year and for this money to be allocated only for border security (aka: WALL). His proposal of $2500/card would mean $2.5B/yr available to build this wall. Opponents contend that this one-time tax on legal immigrants used to keep out illegal immigrants is not just but what tax is? I pay plenty in property taxes used to clean/repair other people's streets and put other parent's kids through public school and you don't hear me crying for unfair taxation. ... and it's a helluva lot more than $2500 one-time fee

$25B in 10 years to build a wall paid for by new citizens that got the better life they came here for in the first place sounds like a good deal.

IMHO Rand is about as useful as Ron. He does far better work as an ophthalmologist.

Linda, you're a douche!

Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham is demanding answers from the Justice Department about former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s explosive allegation that top officials there discussed invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald Trump from office. So what?

Also...
In a letter to Attorney General William Barr on Friday, Graham said his panel intends to investigate the allegations and gave Barr a two-week deadline to turn over any documents relating to conversations between McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein about the 25th Amendment or about covertly recording Trump. Really?

And if Barr doesn't meet your deadline what are you going to do, send him a referral to indict himself?

We all talk about people feeding at the Government trough, well I think we can add all of Congress to that list.

Ron was great, Rand is well above average in their political roles...but we all have our opinions. I can't speak to either of their doctoring abilities but, politically, i sure wish we had more Rand & Ron's and less McCains and Mitts

I won't argue with that.
