And who can blame them. Last year, 44 Georgia H.S. football head coaches made over
$100,000 with Colquitt County's Rush Propst making a high of $141,870. The kicker for
Propst is he doesn't teach any classes. Over 12 of the coaches making $100,000 moved
from Florida to Georgia for the much higher pay.

States like Georgia and Texas are leading the way in high school football compensation.

Hoover Coach makes much more than Rush.. have in the upper classifications in Alabama probably 15 coaches that make over $100k.

I remember Propst from the MTV show at Hoover High.

I have heard of a few Florida coaches leaving for Georgia

Hoover's Josh Niblett is the highest paid HS coach in Alabama earning $136.767.
He's also won 7 or 8 state titles.

Right you are. Propst got fired at Hoover and last week was fired at Colquitt County. The
guy just can't seem to control himself.

Take your beast picks over to the basketball threads where someone gives a shit.

I don't have an opinion; I just have a question. How does the figure for Georgia compare to Texas?

Texas has 41 HS football coaches that make at least $120,000 and 11 that make at least $130,000. Two make
$150,000 or more. Austin Westlake's Todd Dodd (former North Texas HC) makes $150,000 and the state's top
dog is Austin Lake Travis' Hank Carter who earns $158,512.

The average pay for a 5A or 6A HC coach in Texas is $99,000.

If you are referring to Randy Allen who coaches at Highland Park in Dallas...he made
    $133,875 during 2018. Whether he got a 2019 raise...I don't know.
