I have tickets to the fight , which in MMA is always a crap shoot , it's hard to tell if you will have a good view; I was first row floor level last time in Atlanta, but was at a angle, and the press area took up too much space. Not the best seats this time, you needed to buy 2 or more to get better seats, and i wanted to try one level up this time.

MAX HOLLOWAY -245
(DUSTIN POIRIER vrs MAX HOLLOWAY) (UFC 236 - Lightweight 5 rounds @ State Farm Arena - Atlanta, Georgia)

Maybe they rushed Brian Ortega too fast , but dam he a tuff son of a bitch, Max Holloway put on one of the most impressive clinics in MMA history in that fight. "beat down city" .. both Dustin Poirier fights with Eddie Alvarez were controversial. Alvarez had Poirier pined down against the cage and was about to ground and pound when they get stood up. Poirier then puts Alvarez away. Justin Gaethje had a war with Poirier, i remember how brutal the legs kicks were, but Poirier worked the body and it paid off in the later rounds. Max Holloway is just too fucking good. The last person to beat Holloway was Conor McGregor, and Max would beat Conor McGregor today and i think you could make the case for now, his skill set now and his confidence in the ring. He has worked so hard, run ruff shot thru the division. This fight is just him getting paid one more time before he has to make a major decision if he will take a 155 fight.

I'm putting in more bets then usual

STRAIGHT BET Apr 13 BOSTON SALMON -130 (KHALID TAHA vrs BOSTON SALMON)

Khalid "The Warrior" Taha, I'm just not impressed by the level of fighter his (12-2-0) record is made from. Boston Salmon has a loss to Zac Riley who a tuff as nails motherfucker, he show impressive grit in that fight, Taha does not bring that kind of intensity. Salmon trains out of Xtreme Couture, but he is going to light up Khalid Taha on the feet he is a former amateur boxing standout. The first thing you should do to a boxer is slice his legs off with leg kicks , Taha kicking game is very weak. The odd opened at -144 but have moved slightly . In Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series he defended that minimal takedown attempts by Ricky Turcios, had good knees and a good thai clinch against the cage, does not over commit to his punches stayed calm and relaxed, i do think he will get the jitters.

Apr 13 KELVIN GASTELUM +135 (KELVIN GASTELUM vrs ISRAEL ADESANYA)
Israel Adesanya reach advantage in this fight is sick and he could just fight on the outside and point out Gastelum to run out has gas tank, I was not impressed by Adesanya in the Anderson Silva, he got embarrassed as a -550 dog. He KO a way past his prime Derek Brunson. He had a Decision (unanimous) vs Brad Tavares and a Decision (split) with Marvin Vettori. Gastelum is commig off two impressive wins and almost KOed Chris Weidman, and post TRT Vitor Belfort. Black belt in 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu under Brian Beaumont

STRAIGHT BET Apr 13 TOTAL u2½-105 (ALAN JOUBAN vrs DWIGHT GRANT)

Dwight Grant has one punch power and now trains out of American Kickboxing Academy. Grant knocked Carlo Pedersoli into the next week in has last fight. Alan Jouban has not been in the octagon in over a year after a KO of Ben Saunders who is at the end of his UFC run. He is basically a Muay Thai fighter in a octagon. Good head kicks, good hands moving forward , good Thai clinch knees and elbows and spinning elbows.

I was there, first row second tier maybe 40 feet away from the ring behind shaquille o'neal and dana white was in front of him. Dana had two monitors.. one with the fight, one with the basketball game. He was watching the BB game between fights and talking to people. Alan Jouban won all the rounds, Dwight Grant was running the entire fight, Jouban lost his shit and didn't know where to go or who to ask who fixed the fight after the decision , it got kind of weird when he didn't leave the ring and was just standing there , when the light went down and the music came back. Then i get home and hear an interview with Dwight Grant say he pushed the pase of the fight, what bullshit.

I will never goto another UFC event again, The event is top notch quality, but the new fan base are low class, under educated, poor white trash who have migrated from watching
professional wrestling, to UFC.
