Actually enjoy his schtick as well. Admittedly don’t watch CBB a lot, but his Oregon games were entertaining in the Pac-12 tourney. Beats the hell out of Vitale and his crackhead fake enthusiasm
I like Bill Walton. I especially liked him years ago when he would host NBA games. He never had a problem calling out a player for being lazy, in his own words, or a stiff. He calls it like he sees it . At least back then he did.
And yes Cashflowmatters if he if we're doing lots of college he might not last but it'd be because he'd be ripping these kids for all the sloppy and poor play we always see. He always has rewarded great play too. Great thread none the less.
I can't listen to him, I think he makes an ass of himself doing broadcasts. He acts like he thinks it's the Bill Walton show, the basketball game is just his sidekick, some sort of video distraction
I really have not watched much basketball in years so I had not heard him in a long time. After a long day of watching games he comes on for the late PAC 12 game. Between all the Grateful Dead references and the gushing over Oregon I found it humorous.
Walton is awesome and literally the only reason to watch awful 9pm Pac 12 games. I could see how a fan of a serious college hoops program in fly over country wouldn't appreciate his schtick, but on the west coast he is beloved.
